Madden 10 Cover Athletes Revealed
Yes, this is a good plan for the new decade: curse two athletes instead of one.
The cover for Madden 2010 has been revealed, and as you can see, it features both Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. It's a logical choice, as the two stars clashed in last season's Super Bowl, but those teams really need those guys in 2009/2010. Let's just hope both players survive the curse and remain healthy for the entire season; for more pics, visit the Joystiq gallery. The game is scheduled to arrive on August 14, and you can bet that GameStop will be having a midnight launch for the most anticipated sports release of the year, so mark your calendars, pigskin fans. Last year's entry was a step in the right direction and far better than Madden 2008 (especially as far as the PlayStation 3 version was concerned), and we have high hopes for Madden 10. The big man may have retired but they've already said that the series will continue on, now in honor of the freshly departed legendary broadcaster. Besides, what might happen if they tried to change the name of the franchise? What kind of marketing campaign would they need to remind millions that "Madden" is now...uh..."NFL Football"...?
Anyway, you can bet that reporters are going to be asking Polamalu and Fitzgerald what they think of the curse. Just don't laugh it off like everyone else, guys. If you treat it seriously, you might save yourselves!

Every year I say I am done with Madden (due to the ineptness of the PS3 version for one reason or another) but some of the changes they have made actually look like they did something worthwhile.
Nice to see Arizona Cardinals and Madden Cover in the same sentence. Still wish the Cards would brought AZ a Lombardi though..

There may even be question as to whether NCAA cover athletes have lackluster careers once entering the NFL.
