inFamous/Uncharted 2 Promo NOT A Best Buy Exclusive

We should receive the official confirmation on Monday, but for now, let's just say there's a 99% chance that if you pre-order inFamous, you will gain entry to the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer beta.

However, many have been asking the same question: is this promotion limited to Best Buy? After all, the visual evidence includes a Best Buy display placeholder box for Uncharted 2, so everyone is already planning a trip to where the Geek Squad resides. But have no fear; according to PlayStation LifeStyle, this offer will not be exclusive to Best Buy. We still don't know exactly which retailers will offer the entrance to the Uncharted 2 beta, but we have to assume GameStop will be included in the list. They're already offering an exclusive power for use in inFamous so it would be a sweet additional incentive if they could include the newly revealed - and very awesome - feature. Obviously, Sony wants to push their PlayStation 3 exclusives for 2009 and beyond and this is a good way to go about doing it; I think we can all agree that their marketing campaigns could use a significant boost. What might be next? A Gran Turismo 5 demo? Or, better yet, a 2009 release for GT5! We hate to keep fixating on that, but we can't help it. We want it soooo badly...and so do you!

Not that we want to take anything away from Uncharted 2, which remains the best console game we've ever seen. We don't say such things lightly, so just trust us on this.
