EA Survey Suggests Multiplayer For Dead Space 2
It was one of the best games of 2008 and as far as PSXE is concerned, better than the recently released Resident Evil 5. In short, we say Dead Space is the best survival/horror game this generation.
For our part, we're not saying to ourselves, "just imagine how great it would be with multiplayer!" This multiplayer binge lately could prove dangerous, as developers may skimp on single-player campaigns to accommodate the immense popularity of multiplayer. But even so, we should probably be excited that Dead Space 2 will feature the option. Several sources have received a "Tell Us What You Think" e-mail, which consists of a survey that asks questions regarding the impending Dead Space sequel. For example, it asks what type of modes do we enjoy the most, if we're interested in co-op gameplay, and whether or not we'd get a kick out of a Zero-G Deathmatch. The latter certainly sounds interesting and in retrospect, there are plenty of ways to present players with some awesome, never-before-seen multiplayer modes in Dead Space 2. The other reason we've been getting a little tired of all the multi news is simply because we see a lot of the same modes repeated in most games; EA may give us something entirely new in this hotly anticipated sequel. We so want more details on it!
At the very least, it's good to know that EA is asking these questions in the first place. We always value publisher/developer interaction with the fans, if only because it's respectful and opens a communication pathway.

If your mad at your friend in any other game you normally can just whack'em or shoot'em and it's done (for hogging pick-ups, etc.). But taking that into Dead Space's world would mean that you would be taking them out one agonizing limb at a time while they're still kickin' in front of ya' and lest we forget, being able to shoot their own limbs back at them, all of which can be done in the current single-player!
Seems to cross a line for friendships... ;)

Or in similar fashion one or two guys are the crazy regenerating alien and everyone else is a person and they have to survive for as long as they can.

Other than that, it's just a bad idea for this game as much as having a robot partner was a bad idea for RE5. This generation of kids has no idea what a good single player campaign is anymore because they get skimped on... damn kids.

2) have communication set as radio would be so you'll hear static to keep the lonely atmosphere(for example some words you'll hear from your mic while others wont go through)
3) each player should have their own objectives/sub objectives to complete in order to achieve a main goal
4)have boss fights like #3 so you always are using teamwork to take down behemoths

I mean it is fun a t times but these days it has become a trend (P.O.P and RE5.....) Two great games don't get me wrong but personally I think RE5 would have been so much better if it was just you.... Sure the co op works well in the game but it no longer feels like a Resident Evil with Sheva running around with you the whole time...
Dead Space 2 can have a Co op mode but pls leave a solid single player campaign that is the heart of the game. That's what I liked about the first one and that is what I want for the future installments.
Dead Space has definitely taken over the Survival Horror crown in my opinion. And they should mess with it like they did with the RE franchise.
