Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Announced, PSN Demo This Week
Those who keep a close eye on video game news and rumors probably won't be surprised to hear about this announcement, but at least now it's official.
According to the official PlayStation blog, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has been confirmed for the PlayStation Network and it will arrive some time this summer! Last year, Capcom asked the fans (through GameSpot) to tell them which of their favorite franchises should make a return in this new generation, and the publisher certainly listened to the feedback. They're almost ready to go for this summer but best of all, we're going to get an exclusive free demo on the PSN this week. It will drop on Thursday - the customary day for Network updates - and you'll really be able to dive in and sample the goods. The demo will give you a sneak peek at the following:
- Two-player local matches
- Six available characters Ryu, Chun-Li, Strider, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine
- Seven selectable environments
- Upscaled 1080p graphics
- Widescreen or 4:3 aspect ratio
- Two graphic filter options for character sprites
- And other cool options to check out
It's a must-try for fans of the original Marvel vs. Capcom and if you're a fighting fan, you should definitely consider it. This is a genre that has certainly enjoyed a rejuvenation of sorts in the new generation and as a downloadable title, this upcoming sequel ought to be a fantastic deal.
