New MAG Gameplay Trailer Surfaces
See Full ImageThe picture you see here is labeled in our database as "MAGMaybe," and that's simply because we can't confirm if it's indeed a direct screenshot from the upcoming MMO called MAG ("Massive Action Game").
But you can bet that some official media is on the way at E3 in June, and in the meantime, we continue to hunt for more in the way of visual information. Well, thanks to European site Inside Gamer, we now have the best look yet at the online military/action extravaganza in the form of this video. It gives us brief glimpses of the gameplay and as you can see, with that many players going at it, the experience ought to be unparalleled. Also, contrary to what some believed when we first heard about the announcement (at last year's E3), this isn't a third-person shooter but a FPS, which gives it a special flavor. We're all used to that viewpoint by now but when you pop it into a MMO shooter, it immediately looks and feels fresh. The video also shows us plenty of different war vehicles, and although we're not quite certain which of them will be directly controllable, they all appear to be uber-effective. There's no doubt that a combined foundation of action and strategy will be the driving force behind MAG, and although we're not the biggest fans of MMOs, we're gonna have to give this one a try.
The game is scheduled to release later this year and again, we're fairly confident it will make a big appearance at E3. Also, we'll be tossing up a special Architecture Interview video for MAG a little later on, so keep checking back for that.

It looks good though, not great, but I didn't expect superior graphics in a game with this many ppl online.

This is a hands-on preview for MAG. I am now officially excited about this game. Its got that "R2 skirmish" feel to it. I love that mode. And it has this parts of a whole feature going on. There's an overall 3-way war going on 24-7 and you...just hit the link!
This is PS3 year for sure!!!!
