inFamous Trophies, Stunts Detailed
June is shaping up to be a great month for games, and Sucker Punch's massively anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive, inFamous, leads the charge.
A new update over at the official PlayStation blog talks about the Trophies and "stunts" that will be featured in the game, and you'll definitely want to experiment with Cole's amazing ability. Between Sucker Punch and Sony's test team, they were able to create 80 total stunts - combo attacks that may include the environment or special skills - and they ended up selecting 40 for inclusion in the final product. Software engineer Chris Heidorn talks about the "environment kill" - his favorite - which has the player use something in the background to take down enemies. See those things littered all around the environment that go boom? Get your enemies within the blast radius and watch everything go up in lighting and flames...and that includes the baddies screaming in pain.
As for Trophies, they've separated them out into these categories:
- Game, story and mini-mission completion
- Collect all dead drops and shards
- Traversal
- Stunts
- Power-Based
- Karmic decisions
inFamous is bound to be loaded with more than enough over-the-top action to satisfy you, and you had best be willing to try new things. Based on all this information, it'd seem like a terrible waste to just run through the game, doing the same thing over and over. Don't you want as many Trophies as possible? Don't you want to perform as many stunts as possible? Sure you do!

But inFamous is starting to look good and I will definitely pick it up at some point. I'm all for the exclusives. They just always seem to be one step above the rest of the games out there.... but the are exceptions to that rule. Okay maybe only H.A.Z.E disappointed me. The rest have all been great.
