Special Guitars For Beatles: Rock Band
Beatlemaniacs can be a downright crazy bunch, but they had better also have some extra cash tucked away if they want the full experience for The Beatles: Rock Band.
According to Joystiq, MTV Games and Harmonix have revealed that two standalone guitars will release alongside the upcoming music title: the Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet, "allegedly" played by John Lennon and George Harrison through the course of their illustrious careers, will be up for sale in September at $100 apiece. And if you're wondering - and we know you are - we'll do the mathematical figuring for you: the full bundle for the game will retail for $250 and if you want both of these unique guitars as well, your total bill will sit at $450. Of course, Mariana Agathoklis of MTV Games said these optional instruments "are really for the hardcore fans," and we're not about to argue with that assessment. And hey, if you want to join the pre-order club, feel free to do so; it's something else that's designed to cater to the hardcore Beatles followers. The good news is that with a game like this, you're guaranteed to tap into plenty of avid die-hard followers, which means the cost of admission probably won't seem so crazy. After all, you're talking about a group of people that might spend hundreds of dollars for an original record for their collection.
We have no idea where this Rock Band train will end but at this point, just about any legendary band could get their very own music video game. The Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises are just too huge to ignore.

Mr. Zimmerman also went nutso half way through his career when he did a gospel album...what does that set a standard for...also The Beatles and Bob Dylans careers weren't decades apart as you made it sound but rather intertwined at different points of their careers...the way you put it makes it sound to the uninformed person that music that way made in 2000 for example is drastically different from music that was made in 2003 and when you translate that back to the 60's/70's to me there is truly only one band that spoke to the public on such an emotional level as the Beatles have

(At least it sounds like you like Bebop)
Actually you never gave them a compliment you said that you never realized they were thatinspirational, which I think is more negative ;)
But I'm not gonna' give you a hard time because that's your opinion.
Even though The Beatles pwned the World! Hah
(not you WorldEndsWithMe).
And we both don't play the games so it doesn't really affect us?

This Beatles Rock Band game might be the one that gets me to buy into the series. I've always been a Guitar Hero guy.

I believe the term 'inspirational' in the previous post is meant more as 'influence' rather then 'personally inspiring' as The Beatles definitely influenced just about every aspect of what is currently referred to as 'pop' music and you can hear their influence in just about every indie/etc band coming out of the UK in the past thirty years (i.e. Stone Roses, etc). Plus you gotta love them as they were one of the first bunch of musicians that went nuts in that way only evolving artists can and gave the press the finger eventually.
