Duke Nukem Forever Leaked Content Assaults Internet?

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised. 3D Realms bites the dust, Take-Two snaps up the rights, and somewhere in between, a whole bunch of content finds its unofficial and unapproved way to the Internet.

You should take all of this with a grain of salt, simply because we can't confirm that any of it is legit, but it's still worth a look. First up, check out some of the new screenshots and concept art that suddenly popped up; they have it over at Cynamite.de. Well, that set might only consist of concept art - we don't really see any in-game screenshots there - but we always like checking out some behind-the-scenes stuff. But that's hardly the main attraction: GameTrailers has a long video of what appears to be Duke Nukem Forever gameplay! Now, if it's real, there are a few points of interest- firstly, we're not overly impressed with those graphics; the textures just aren't where we'd want them to be, but we should realize we're looking at an early build. Secondly, they've got the attitude down pat - watch Duke flip off the bad guys as he falls! - but we're not the biggest fans of the voice. We're aware that it's supposed to be cheesy, but...well, that's a little too cheesy. In fact, it's borderline painful. Thirdly and lastly, we do like the look and aggressive nature of the enemies. That really does fit the Duke atmosphere and we're not about to complain.

But remember, nothing here is official. Also, the video in question isn't entirely clean; there's a topless stripper and some questionable language, but that shouldn't be too shocking. And we didn't take the video and put it here on PSXE just 'cuz we're not even sure if it's real...

It looks like my type of game;). If they get some new developers to update the graphics and basically finish it it could easily take on any FPS out there (in terms of fun factor).

No FPS in the present and in the future will ever bring anything new to the fps genre that's just how it is.I am personally bore of fps cause most just try to be like COD and COD tries to be like COD(wtf).Anyways I would get this day one, even how it is now(incomplete).

genres are called genres because they ARE that genre. do you want an rpfpsg or something?

genres cant really bring ANYTHING new to it, without making it a Xover with another genre, in an FPS you run around in first person mode...shooting things. simple. with added features to make it look like they are changing it up, but they really arent.

Ya, i get what you're saying Sacrecrow, but with FPS there is only so much you can. By the looks of it at least, the game had very little in common with the average "sci-fi shooter".

Maybe the enemies a bit but its hard to create suitable aliens that look different from humans and ones on other games.

If it ever is finished and released I'll still pick it up. Heck they could even scrap that one a make a completely new game and I'll still pick it up. I loved Duke then, except his first two games, and I love Duke now. I still play Duke 3D at least once a year. Would love to see them bring back Lo Wang as well. Let them team up in a game. Just to hear the things those two would say throughout the game would be worth it lol.

That was very confusing. The game either needs to F%&*#(@ come out or people need to move on. I'm sick of this and I'm sick of the constant resurrection of F#*%^$( FFVII. I refuse to acknowledge any of this anymore!!!!!!!

That was actually...not bad. My expectations for this game were understandably low but I could see myself playing that.

What im impressed about is not the style itself, but the fact that they got the perspective right in a FPS! when hes knocked down he looks over his torsos and legs, then turns to his right presses his hands down to the ground to get back up, it deserves a 10/10 for that alone.

but its a pretty badass attempt.
i think someone will pick this up and finish it.

honestly come on, asif it hasnt been talked about almost as much as a FF7 remake.

it would sell a whole shitload too.

It's real. Get over yourself and realise you were wrong when you said Duke Nukem was a joke 12 years in the making.
Other than that, the game looks awesome. It actually has a range of atmospheres (something no shooters have now).
Graphics look sh**, and voice is sh** but if they do continue, I hope they improve both of those.

i actually hope this comes out now, although the graphics could use some work it still looks amazing, and sony should pay for exclusitivity if it is going to eventually be made, but its probobly gonna be another 10 years :(

If this is real then I thought the Football level is on Duke Nukem 3D I completed that on my pc unless it has or was supposedly been made for PS3/360/PC lol oh well we can all but wait and see
