PSXE Poll Update: inFamous Most Wanted This Summer

Okay, so it wasn't much of a race, but we did see a few surprises in the overall rankings.

Not surprisingly, your #1 pick for the most anticipated summer release is inFamous, Sucker Punch's high-impact, intense action title that features a main character who can toss around electricity at will. It's almost guaranteed to be a blast and although the competition remains high, most of you seem convinced that inFamous will be well worth your hard-earned buck. Interestingly enough. Batman: Arkham Asylum came in second - a distant second, but still - and that's encouraging. Over the years, gamers have become extraordinarily suspicious of any titles based on movies, or titles based on comic book superheroes. The latter is often hit-or-miss, and Arkham Asylum would normally invoke feelings of skepticism. But it just goes to show that many gamers are very well informed; the game looks fantastic, and you've likely already seen plenty of gameplay footage. Red Faction: Guerilla came in third, and although that's respectable, we don't want any of you to sleep on that game...it may surprise a lot of you.

Anyway, we're moving on to E3, and what Sony's biggest announcement of the show may be. Could it be the long-awaited price drop? Or might it be game-related, like the confirmation of Twisted Metal for the PS3, or the announcement of Gran Turismo 5 for a 2009 launch. Whatever it is, we can't wait to hear about it...we're just wondering what you think it is. So let us now and vote now!

I think it'll be KH3, even though that'll be more of an announcement from SE... I still want it.

I thought Microsoft published Gears, or at least funded...damn the exclusive tactics of today. But still, I highly doubt it anyway.

But what is the future, 3rd parties having all of their games funded for being exclusive? It's quite aggravating.

I think it will be a mega firmware update with all of the features (and more) that everyone's been bitching about.I would personally like to see a new Syphon Filter and a TM:Black 2.

MS owns Epic, Epic does Gears. Basically, Gears has as much chance of coming to the PS3, as Gran Turismo 5 has coming to the 360.

I put the money down for my InFamous preorder last week, looking forward to it certainly. Not sure if I want Prototype on my PC more tho, yet.

MS does NOT own Epic, as they put Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3. They just own the publishing rights to Gears. So if Epic makes a new IP then it will have a good chance of coming to the PS3 if MS doesn't publish it.

I don't think MS owns epic.Most of Epic's games are multi except GOW and they made the Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 better than the 360's version.

No Microsoft doesn't own them. In fact Epic is in the process of porting over Gears of War to Mac OS X.

Either Team Ico's new game or "something else"

I'm going for something else, it could be anything. FFVII remake? Legend of Dragoon2? It could even be a completely new game with insane potential

E3's in July, no? Goddammit! I miss the days when it was in May........

It was in June for a while too if I remember.

1998 is STILL the best E3 ever <3

A price drop would be nice but I think that their big announcement for this year will be some other game. A couple friends say they will pick up a PS3 when it drops a little more. They are just short on cash at the moment.

The PSP GO! is going to happen, I know it, and I think that may be the biggest announcement. I really hope not though, because I am not planning on buying one anytime soon since all of my cash goes to PS3 games, so I am really hoping for a new exclusive or some relese dates for big games like Versus 13 or GOW3.

I`m really hoping for GT5 in 09(Pretty sure it`s gonna sell alot of PS3`s)! And of course a new Metal Gear, which I hope is exlusive:/

But the PS3 have enough action games for now:P Tough, I wouldn`t mind seeing the new Syphon Filter;)

Crossing fingers for a American and European Demon Souls realese:P

I would have voted BlazBlue were there an option for it. I suspect a price drop at E3, not sure if they'd call that their big announcement though. I really want some info on GT5, it's been so long since I've heard anything about it. Other than that, I'd like a Demon's Souls release, orrrrrr Legend of Dragoon 2 announcement !

well since batman was pushed back to sept now you really cant call it a summer title.

besides inFamous is so close now and everyone is pumped for it, especially those of us who were lucky enough to have tried the demo already.

those of you that havnt had the chance to play the demo yet of infamous, it will be available on the PSN the 21st i believe, and trust you will enjoy it a lot.

Don't think there's gonna be a price cut.
In my opinion, the best time for price cut would be the release of GT5(it's one of the longest running franchise!!!!!).
