Rumor: Uncharted 2, MAG Beta Tests Start During E3

Betas are starting to become more and more prevalent in this new generation, likely because developers are starting to realize just how beneficial such testing can be. And you can expect many more titles to receive a beta phase in the very near future.

The latest rumor from TheBitBag says that both Sony and EA will be launching multiple beta tests for upcoming titles. Perhaps the most intriguing will be one for EA's Fight Night Round 4, which will supposedly enter the testing phase on Day 1 of E3 and run for two weeks. But at the same time, Sony will launch two betas of their own during E3: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and MAG. Now if this is true, the gaming world just might explode. You're looking at two of the most anticipated titles of 2009; two legitimate Game of the Year contenders in our eyes and quite possibly two of the most groundbreaking games of the generation. There's also a small inside tidbit about how those who loved the first Modern Warfare will be absolutely "blown away" by the sequel, but while that's good news, our focus is on those betas for Uncharted 2 and MAG. Now, we already knew that both would be having a beta test but until now, we had no idea of when they might begin... It may seem a little early on the surface, but wouldn't it be one hell of an announcement at the show?

Yep, the E3 rumors are definitely heating up, and we've still got three weeks to go. Stay tuned for more; if these betas really are going to start during E3, one has to assume that registration information will be released beforehand.
