End Of Eternity Becomes Resonance Of Fate In North America
Remember that Japanese Debut Trailer for End of Eternity? The one that made RPG fans drool all over their keyboards?
Well, there's some news: first of all, as announced over at Sega's official blog, the game has been confirmed for North America and it will be known as Resonance of Fate in this part of the world. It's scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2010 and considering that we just saw the debut video, that's not too bad. This is a tri-Ace game and set to be published by Sega (the first time tri-Ace won't have Enix or Square-Enix produce their game), and that may be a commentary on Square-Enix's insistence on a new-found Western focus... But that's another topic for another time. For now, just enjoy the new screenshots found at the blog link above, and we'll be on the lookout for any new information concerning Resonance of Fate. But just so you know, any time you find details concerning this or End of Eternity, it's the same game, okay? Got that? It can be a little confusing; we honestly thought we had left the days of differing titles based on region well behind us. Well, whatever the title, we can't wait to learn more, just 'cuz we love our RPGs.
Can tri-Ace one-up Square-Enix this generation? Will Resonance of Fate set the bar, and will Final Fantasy XIII be taxed with the task of jumping over it...?

"With that disappearance... came the end, the final end of Eternity, and the beginning of Infinity."
Edit - Maybe that is the reason? Copyright issues? I think The End of Eternity is being made into a movie I heard. Maybe they could not get the rights to the name in America...

I find it ironic that when Tri-Ace gets it's 1st game published by Sega, we get an accurate North American release date window this early.
BUT here we are 3 or 4 years into development of S-E's Fabula Nova Crystallis FF XIII games...and no release dates....NONE.

Ahem, anyway I think "the first time tri-Ace won't have Enix or Square-Enix produce their game" proves tri-ace got some sense in them. SE just fails.
