Sigma 2 Demo Hits PSN During E3, Game Launches In Fall
We've just learned that when Tecmo makes Ninja Gaiden III, it should arrive for "both audiences" (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners). We won't have more of this initial exclusivity for Microsoft, followed by spruced-up versions on the PS3 at a later date.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be totally psyched for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. You may remember the playable demo that hit the PlayStation Store for the original Sigma - it was one of the very first demos to be released on the PSN - and according to one source, we'll get another one for Sigma 2. As reported by HipHopGamer, the new demo will go up on the Store at E3, and it'll be about 10 minutes long. This hotly anticipated sequel will boast an "enhanced fighting system, improved graphics" and more of a storyline than has been featured in past series installments. The headline also tells us Sigma 2 will launch some time this fall, although we could've guessed at that release date. Even though most PlayStation followers identify more with Kratos and God of War (and maybe Dante and Devil May Cry, to a lesser extent), it'd be a bad idea to overlook Ryu and Ninja Gaiden. Always a definite challenge, and always loaded with enough super-fluid, ultra-fast action to make your eyes bleed, the past few NG titles have been among the best on store shelves. And besides, Sigma 2 will definitely be superior to the original NGII, so what's the problem?
We'll let you know if Team Ninja and/or Tecmo confirms a release date at E3, but definitely look for that demo between June 2 and June 4.
