High Voltage To Reveal New IP At E3
Developers can be such teases in the weeks before E3, and while it's understandable, it's still a touch irritating. Most of the time, we're just sitting here staring at the screen, rolling our eyes and saying, "geez, just tell us."
But anyway, it seems High Voltage Software has something big to reveal at this year's show. These guys are currently developing The Conduit - one of the most anticipated Wii releases of the year - and it will be on display at E3. But in addition and according to Electronic Theatre, there's much more to come. A new unannounced IP will be unveiled "behind closed doors" to select members of the media. Said Kerry J. Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage Software:
"2009 is already shaping up to be a groundbreaking year for this studio. The release of The Conduit is just around the corner and there is more to come. We feel that E3 is the perfect opportunity to show off our hard work and give a taste of our very latest project.
Chief Creative Officer Eric Nofsinger added a specific "guarantee," in that the team will continue to "push our technology to the absolute limit in order to deliver experiences that are beyond jaw-dropping." Well, that certainly sounds promising, doesn't it? Whatever they have to announce may be overshadowed by bigger announcements from the likes of Sony (and Konami), but that doesn't mean High Voltage's project isn't significant. It's merely a bit lower on the totem pole, and we still want to know what it is...

SEGA has been doing a great job with new interesting IPs. I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta.
