Konami Countdown Gives More Hints

More Konami news, and once again it's about Metal Gear Solid. By now those of you following the development of the large Konami announcement know that there is a countdown teaser slowly counting down to E3, which is when Konami will finally reveal what we can only assume is the fifth Metal Gear Solid game. Evidence of a fifth game has become more concrete, as the countdown site occasionally shows a "5" during thunderflashes, in addition to "E", "3", and a lowercase "e".

Logically, we can only assume that 5 implies a fifth game. E and 3 are E3. But what does the lowercase "e" mean? Well, a few folks familiar with Japanese culture recognized that the lowercase letter "e" looks very much like the Japanese symbol for snake. This leaves us only to assume that MGS5 is well on its way, unless Kojima somehow decides to yank our tails by flipping the 5 into a Z, and mash an O in between the Z and the "e".

Hell, we'd better see an announcement for both ZOE3 and MGS5 at E3. Do it Konami, if you wish to steal the show. Just do it.

As much as I LOVE me some Metal Gear I actually rather have another ZOE first... That's just me though.

I second that and I will have to agree that as much as I love MGS I want to see what Kojima Productions can do with a new ZOE...I mean c'mon after hearing about the possibility of Trico the announcement of this game would make gaming life complete.
Oh one more thing, Sony needs to announce or think about announcing another Legend of Dragoon, a damn good game that was...a damn good game.

Again, Arnold, great picture. I also read somewhere else that the e could be @, meaning 5@E3? I don't mind the wait though. I find the thunderstorm relaxing.

What's a Rooster tease? lol, just kidding..that's an awesome picture. Just be careful what you wish for though. You just might see an announcement for ZOE and MGS at E3....but they may end up being xbox exclusives..better not...but I'm not placing any bets.

Come one guys, we have so many brains here, I bet we can crack the code. These are digital alphabets like your digital clocks, it could be anything....I don't think the message is 5@E3.

Theres "35Ee", so:

I say the E is a sideway "M"
the e is actually an upside-down "G"
the 5 is actually read as an "S"
and the 3 is a.... "3"

So it has something to do with Raiden in MGS3.
(did Raiden ever made an appearance in MGS3??)

I had too much time on my hands... I just got out of work, and I watched it for 10 minutes. This is what I got, and I figured out where each one starts because the 3's in a certain part fell wierd and the only way that each 4 number group would have 1 of each symbol is if I separate them like this.

e35E e53E e3E5 e35E eE35 eE53 e5E3 eE53 e35E e5E3 e35E eE53 eE53 e35E e3E5 e3E5 e53E e53E

Is is some type of code? Not like DiVinci, but computer code, or HTML, something like that?

That aint it, in MGS3 "Raiden" was one of the bosses (forget name, one who shot the min-nuke out the chopper) "GUY FRIEND" and in his army. He looked identical to Raiden but MGS3 was WAYYY before Raiden's time, that is Big Boss not Solid Snake.

Oh god I would love to play the very first misson to Snake. When he "killed" Big Boss:P But no, not gonna happen:(

I more willing to say that this teaser is the two chapters of Raiden, and the other game their making is "Lord of Shadow":)

Thought it over, still cant come up with anything for the little e, looks more like a japanese charachter to me, but I have decided to leave the teaser site on my computer when I go to bed because that thunderstorm is so soothing :)

I know he said he was done with MGS but, let's be honest, MGS4 was the highest selling title on the PS3 to date. Money talks and BS walks.

Maybe we should look at this the opposite way, is there anything that DOESN'T point to it being MGS5? Other than Kojima's statement that he was done, I can't think of any.

its definately gonna be a metal gear solid 5 because if you look at the source of the teaser page you'll find this in the 9th line of code content="Hideo Kojima, MGS,METAL GEAR, NEXT, game, konami, kojima game, KJP, Kojima Production

Im pretty damn sure its gonna be a new MGS, besides the fact that the lettering all coincidenal fits in, the fox logo is at the bottom of the page and kojima himself hinted a new mgs game, i think i may have also uncovered even more evidence which can definitively prove that theres going to be another MGS game. If visit the countdown site and view the source code you will find a piece of coding like this -

<meta name="keywords" content="Hideo Kojima, MGS,METAL GEAR, NEXT, game, konami, kojima game, KJP, Kojima Production ">

this coding defines the keywords used to help users search for the site via search engines, and if we read through the coding yourself it blatently says "MGS, METAL GEAR, NEXT, game", which definitively suggest the countdown timer relates to a new Metal Gear Solid game.

If you don't believe me, check it out, visit the site -> http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/index.html using Internet Explorer 7 or higher and navigate to Page which is at the toolbar at the top right and click "View Source", a word document will appear containing the coding used to create the site, scan through for that coding and you will see what i mean.

Also i do beleive that the next Metal Gear could well be about Raiden, because Raiden in Japanese mythology refers to a god of thunder and lightening, which could explain the thunder and lightening shown in the background of that countdown timer.
