Fresh Details For A Crack In Time
Lest we forget, the Ratchet and Clank series remains one of the most popular and critically acclaimed video game franchises of all time. The last iteration, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, was yet another fantastic effort by Insomniac, and we expect nothing less than excellence from the new installment, A Crack in Time.
You'll want to tune into the latest Full Moon Show podcast, which is both interesting and enlightening. Best of all, we get a fresh update on the team's progress, and as it turns out, A Crack in Time is closing in on the alpha stage of development and yes, it will be on display at E3 next week. The level they'll show off will be Krell Canyon, and apparently, internal play testing has already begun, so everything appears to be moving forward smoothly and quickly. As for other intriguing details, we urge you to listen to the entire podcast, but let's just say that this game will eclipse Tools of Destruction in terms of both size and diversity. Not surprisingly, the team is working on new gadgets for Ratchet to have at his disposal (they always do!), and the world ought to be bigger and more beautiful than ever before. It's yet another PlayStation 3 exclusive that is almost guaranteed to deliver the goods in spades, and if you've ever played an R&C adventure before, you're accustomed to wonderfully polished and endlessly entertaining quests. We can't wait to see that Krell Canyon level and as the year rolls onwards, we certainly expect more info and media to flow outwards from Insomniac.
They're one of our favorite developers, in truth. Honestly, if we only were able to play the R&C and Resistance franchises from here until the end of our days, it wouldn't be such a huge travesty.

They're still funny as always ;) and there's [SPOILER] three Brian/Bryan's lol.
(And for the people who won't listen to it for long)
They also mention that in the demo the players will be able to use a really cool gadget.. that you may have noticed it being used in the teaser. Easy guess.
If it's what I think it is, then the demo will rock the Dragon!

For anyone who's not yet played a R&C game. Do yourself a big, big favor and find a PS2. Then borrow/buy the four PS2 (actually there's a 5th one now) Ratchet and Clank games and play them through.
Sometimes I think people want more story and adventure from R&C than it should/could give. It's a 3D action/platformer, not an action RPG. However they humor and story in each has always been good. What the games lack in depth of story they make up for with humor. But I have to say that R&C games (except for Deadlocked) have generally featured more story than many action/adventures. With the huge arsenal of gadgets and weapons plus armor and upgrades, the game allows you to customize your play almost as much as an RPG

I lost so many hours to the very first R&C game when it came out. I played it over and over again, though I never did get all the skill points.
Of course, you should play all of them (except the PSP-to-PS2 port of Size Matters), but those are the two to play if you can't get 'em all.

Deadlocked was still a lot of fun, just not as much as others.
