New Wipeout To Glide Into E3?
It is currently one of the best racers available (is anyone still shocked that it was a downloadable title?) but we haven't heard much about it since its launch last year.
Therefore, we may be overdue for some new Wipeout HD news. Many such games have received plenty of extra DLC to extend and enhance the experience, but this fluid, mind-bogglingly fast futuristic racer has remained fairly static. They issued an update not long after the release, making it a bit easier to complete the entire event quest, but that's about it. Therefore, we're excited to see evidence of something new: if you visit the Button Masher Twitter page, you will see something called "Ultimate Racing," which may or may not be related to Wipeout HD. Sony supposedly plans to lift the veil on it at E3 next week, but we really don't know what it is, and Button Masher provides no additional evidence. It could be another standalone title or a major expansion to Wipeout HD; either of which would be greatly appreciated by fans of the genre. But until we see some concrete information, we can only speculate...and you all know how Sony responds to "rumor and speculation." Hence, we'll just leave it be until the official word (if it even exists) arrives at the show.
Wipeout HD deserves some TLC in the form of DLC, don't you think? There are about a million possibilities and as it's arguably the best digital-only title ever, we figure bonus goodies are almost essential.

I guess a new game is good, I'd still like some DLC for Wipeout HD.
Actually I seem to remember that when Wipeout HD came along we were promised great things in the DLC department, none of which have occurred.
