Sony: inFamous Expectations Are High
It's the best PlayStation 3 exclusive since Killzone 2 launched in late February and it has already pulled down plenty of high review scores.
According to DevelopMag, Sony cites the positive critical acclaim as the cornerstone for their "high hopes" for inFamous. The game just recently hit store shelves in North America and as you can see from our review, it's well worth your time. Intense and satisfying in most every sense of the word, Sucker Punch's great production is a feather in the PS3's cap. Said a SCEE spokesperson:
"We have high hopes for InFamous, which are backed up by a number of high profile, and very positive, specialist and mainstream press review scores."
And, wonder of wonders, we just saw a commercial for the game a few hours ago! Yeah, we were surprised too. We saw TV ads for Killzone 2, which was a definite novelty at the time, but it finally seems as if Sony is willing to fork over the marketing bucks for exclusive titles. They're also running a 30-second trailer for inFamous at select movie theaters around the country, so hopefully, Sony's expectations for the game are realized. It's certainly good enough to haul down impressive sales numbers.

Don't even get me started on their traditional hate/hate relationship with games that have cut scenes...
If Sessler and Webb ever start showing the backbone and independence that they used to have, I may watch again. Until then, I shall mourn the passing of what was the only TV video game show worth watching.

I finished the Neon district last night (100%). I'm loving the game. It's the best sandbox style game I've ever played. In my humble opinion it's a 9.5 out of 10.

In my first few hours of playing I have already run into a number of very frustrating situations. Like getting shot by a reaper and not being able to tell where its coming from. Nobody on the minimap, no tracers from the bullets, nobody in plain sight. Or trying to climb down a building and grabbing onto every single ledge. I've even become trapped in a building. I've also had a few times where I died and have no idea why. The screen was still full color so I wasn't low on health, I wasn't in a boss fight, but *boom* I'm dead. And I think some of the animations look a little weird too.
But all said this is an awesome game. None of the problems are enough to hold me back from enjoying myself.
