SCEA: Sony E3 Press Conference Viewable In Home
These days, there are any number of reasons to jump into the PlayStation Home service; we've already seen a myriad of updates and enhancements.
But here's another little bonus: most of you won't be able to watch Sony's E3 press conference on Tuesday, simply because you ain't invited to the show. However, there are multiple ways of viewing it live around the Internet and perhaps best of all, SCEA has just confirmed that the conference will be viewable from within Home! Sony's James Gallagher confirmed as much over at the official EU PlayStation Blog, where he posted up a comment to an E3 article. The conference can be seen at a new space inside the online social community; it'll be called the "Presentation Podium." Sure, you can go watch it all by your lonesome over at GameSpot or something, but isn't it much more fun to gather with fellow gamers and friends and watch the big announcements roll out? Won't it just be downright hilarious to see the virtual reaction of hundreds of people when Sony reveals an official release date for God of War III? Of course, you could just keep your eyes glued to PSX Extreme, where we will be tossing up the relevant news articles minutes after the info has escaped a speaker's lips. Up to you.
Anyway, these days, online communication has advanced to the point where just about everyone can get in on the fun. And it makes perfect sense for Home users to be able to see this important conference.
