Gran Turismo 5 Coming To E3 After All?
Despite what we expect from the likes of God of War III, Hideo Kojima's new project, Team ICO's possible "Project Trico," Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and more, there's one game that could sneak in and steal the show: Gran Turismo 5.
When Sony revealed their E3 lineup, racing enthusiasts the world over were disappointed to see that GT5 wasn't included. However, according to French PlayStation magazine PSM3, and discovered by GTPlanet, it seems the hotly anticipated racer will make an appearance at E3 2009, after all. Some very early info has come along with this supposed announcement, too, but we're steering clear of that until the show. The bottom line is that Sony simply hasn't mentioned GT5 and officially, the game isn't scheduled to be on display. Therefore, if this new revelation is true, it could mean that Sony is planning a big surprise of some kind...perhaps a release date that's sooner than we all expect? The last time series creator Kazunori Yamauchi said anything about a launch window, he actually laughed at the suggestion that it would release in 2010. But as we weren't the ones doing the interview, we all might be misinterpreting that reaction. Who knows? All he said was that GT5 might be here "sooner than we think," and now, we learn it could very well make a big splash at E3. If you put the pieces of the puzzle together, one can come to a very interesting conclusion...
It's just another huge title to be on the lookout for next week. We're expecting to see several release dates for significant projects, and we're hoping against hope that GT5 is among them.

I think it's about time the game arrived, but a two year game between the Prologue and the actual game seems like about as long as you can stretch something (our patience) without it breaking - if you see what I mean.

Forza does a pretty good job at the physics, they're different, good but ultimately they just lack a solidness that GT has while providing more realistic/challenging physics, specifically on Professional.

It's going to be BIG for Sony whatever happens, it could be awesome...but if it's underwhelming or they just unveil ANOTHER freaking Singstar and some pissy little motion controller I'll cut myself.

But does that mean since they are new and have limited resources, the quality should be expected to be similar, as if an experienced developer with resources spent 1 year on it?
I just hope its a quality game, I want it to succeed as much as everyone else on here, but there's going to be some very high expectations. Just more pressure on them with the long wait.

I always respected the car but i never considered it the fastest car in GT because its kind of a cheat...it uses two engines, even in small displacement, its still two motors.

When you're a car guy and you know how much of a difference 2 engines make even compared to ONE engine that has the same displacement as both smaller engines, you realise that its a bit of a cheap way to make big power. Especially even its competition usually run on one engine.
To a car guy its pretty easy to see how 2 engines is kind lame as much as i like Suzuki.

It may be the current fastest production car on the market but they are used for different purposes. One off road, one speed track. And there's no way I'd ever own a car that can drain it's whole 26gal fuel tank in 12 minutes. Though with a fuel rating of 8/14 you can see why lol. Still it is a great car.
