E3 2009: Rockstar's PS3 Exclusive Revealed As Agent
You may be disappointed that the extra content for Grand Theft Auto IV (Lost and Damned) didn't come to the PlayStation 3, but you may be able to forgive Rockstar...
Jack Tretton has just revealed that an all new property from Rockstar North is in the works, and it'll be exclusive to the PlayStation 3. It's called Agent, and although we didn't see a trailer and had very little in the way of baseline information, we know it's set in the dark, undercover spy world of the late '70s. Beyond that, and because we know you want to hear about it, Ubisoft popped up immediately afterward to show off a trailer for Assassin's Creed II, which looks downright amazing. They said they wanted to focus more on diversity; on giving the player more chances in "every aspect of the game." They show off an amazing gliding machine in the video, and mention that the main hero will be able to enjoy a variety of upgrades and enhancements. Basically, it's all about opening up the concept we had in the original AC, and there's even a new AI archetype known as "The Seeker." It won't be so easy to stay hidden this time around, fellow stealth fanatics! There will be over 30 different weapons in the game, plus 6 additional weapons if you want to play Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines on the PSP. All kinds of great stuff!
So we'll search about for more info on Agent, and it's no surprise to us that ACII looks totally bad-ass.
