Rachel Joins Playable Cast Of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

Hiiii, Rachel. ...say it wrong, and she'll split your head open with an axe the size of Wisconsin. Maybe you should just bow or something.

According to Kotaku, Rachel will be the third playable character in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, which means the top-heavy blonde can be fully under your control. Of course, this shouldn't come as any real surprise to fans of the franchise, 'cuz she was playable in the original Sigma, too. But initially, Tecmo wouldn't confirm her as playable and we were only left with the hint that "maybe" they'd include her again. We do know that you'll also be able to play as the purple-haired ninja, Ayane, and we have no problem whatsoever with two females in Sigma 2. We could make some sort of 2-on-1 joke with Ryu tossed in there somewhere, but we figure that's well beneath us and not worthy of such a classy site. ...you know, the same site that often goes out of its way to treat its readers with shameless pics of females every now and then. 'cough' Anyway, we really can't wait for Sigma 2, which is scheduled to arrive later this year. We're super huge fans of the NG franchise and it can tide us over until God of War III in March (confirmed at Sony's press conference).

Really, the more straight-up action games, the better. That's just how we see things.

I'd love to see her in action but I'm too old and easily frustrated to play Ninja Gaiden games.

Team Ninja has always been ahead of the curb with there boob physics.

I loved the first one, and will probably pick up the sequel on day 1.

The trailer leaves no doubt about Rachel's attractions. However, I have heard that Ninja Gaiden games can be a tad on the insanely hard and frustrating side. Considering that Soul Calibur 4 and it's cheating AI have me held hostage on floor 58 (I refuse to attempt to go further since I value my controller, my TV, my PS3 and my health), I may have to give Rachel a pass - shame that. Unless of course someone can confirm that the game will come with a difficulty level designed for mere mortals...

I play Sigma on normal so it isn't that bad, it's fun and challenging. My only beef with the game is that you notice the difference when you play Rachel from Ryu. She's a bit slow when she uses her battle ax.

@ JDC80

Are you sure it's the battle axe that's slowing her down or those things attached to her upper torso?

Hmmm, most likely those double bazooka's she's carrying.
Yeah, mighty fine looking set of weapons!
