By the way Ben, it wasn't Heart Attack, it was a Heart Arrest. They are both completely different things. A heart attack is when some part of your heart malfunctions and in return, that part does not supply Oxygen to the rest of the body but Heart Arrest is when the heart literally stops working and within 6-7 minutes, your brain cells start to die since you are breathing and no oxygen is being supplied to the body. MJ died because of Heart Arrest and NOT heart attack. May he rest in peace!

Well, that's just terribly sad news.

God I hate getting older. Farrah Fawcett passed away today as well. I hate seeing the entertainers I enjoyed in my youth reaching the ends of their lives. That said MJ and Farrah were really still relatively young. MJ was only 50.

Some will always have doubts and questions, and we'll probably never know the complete truth about Michael Jackson. We do know about his music, and it was phenomenal. What a talent, and an artists he was. A sad day indeed. I hope that in death he can find the peace he never found in life.

I know this might sound harsh, but if his game indeed comes out later this year it might sell more now that he's died. Gamers might sympathize and buy the game. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that emotion therefore I'm not buying the game, but don't get me wrong he's very great, but none of his stuff will ever be uploaded into my IPod Touch.

The first album I ever bought with money I earned myself was Michael Jackson's History.

Will have to buy it again now at an exhorbitant premium as it was stolen some years ago.

Brilliant musician/entertainer/icon, possibly the biggest ever.

Its sad that his first 25 years in music has been tainted by the last 15 years or so of his life. RIP.

Like most ppl on here, I was not around during the Elvis days so to me, MJ was the greatest entertainer of the music industry. I've got some lovely memories growing up listening to his music and seeing his dances. One of the first cassettes i bought for my walkman was MJ's Dangerous

Sure he has taken a slightly beaten off track in the last decade or so.. but I still stand by him whenever I hear kids these days call him a walking freakshow because he was a true legend and his dominance in the good ol' days remains unparalleled. RIP

Innocent till proven guilty is simply a phrase, nothing more. I can cite thousands of cases to show bias in the court systems especially in regards to those with millions. I refuse to cater to your own personal interests, a little common sense should point you in the correct path.

Innocent until proven guilty is not simply words it's a central pillar to our justice system, and an essential principle for life. The fact that you dismiss it so easily leaves me in despair. I truly hope that you are never charged with a crime you did not commit, and that if you are, the very principle that you mock here is applied to your benefit.

I respect Michael Jackson as an entertainer. He defined a genre of music. The mans personal life is questionable and that is a far as i am going into that subject.

RIP Michael.

You were the biggest part of my childhood. Your music filled my life with dance and happiness. Dangerous was my very first album which I received at 6 years old. I had a video tape full of concerts and video clips that I recorded off TV.

I don't know what else to say. This is a huge shock for me. I was looking forward to a great comeback from MJ. Seeing him perform again and righting his wrongs, turning his public image around from a creepy celebrity freak to the once talented and loved musician that made him popular.

I went to his History Tour when I was 8 years old. It was the greatest night of my life. I will never forget it. Even from half a kilometre back, when MJ was just a speck on stage in the distance, I still had the time of my life.

Since this is the only website I'm a member of, this is really the only place I can express my gratitude to MJ and his music, regardless of his recent mistakes and current negative image.

I'll miss your performances MJ. RIP

Wow, just yesterday I was driving to AZ to visit some family. On the way there "Will you be there" came on the radio. I was like 'damn,I forgot good of a song this is'. Haven't heard since I watched 'Free Willy' in my youth lol.

Regardless of what has transpired in his life in recent years, there is no doubt that MJ was a tremendous talent. RIP sir

I am soooo melancholy right now. Just got back from my brother's high school graduation, and looking at all those young kids and remembering...then I got a text from a friend telling me about this and I swear to God, I almost cried right there on the sidewalk.

It wasn't so much about that one instance of his death, but the combination of everything...the moment, the fact that I identify much of Jackson's music with my childhood, the graduation itself, etc. Good God. :(

His music transcended age and race and touched millions of peoples hearts across the world. He gave up his own childhood for music and may be one of the most misunderstood, yet loved musical artists of all time.

What may have happened in his personal life will be debated forever, but no one can deny his contributions to music and to the world.

Let me see you prove something. You do realize that NONE of the kids testified saying MJ touched them inappropriately? They all said the same thing MJ's lawyers have been saying the whole time: Jackson slept on the floor, while his numerous guests all slept in his gigantic bed.

It was just a bunch of asshole parents who were outraged and wanted to squeeze the guy for money. Yes, there WAS something wrong with Jackson's psyche, he was stuck in the mindset of a 10 year old often times, but a pedo he was not.

I hate it when people jump on a fucking bandwagon and don't care enough to do a grain of research. There's a reason why the case was dismissed and he was found not guilty. And don't tell me it was money either, because MJ barely had any at the time, which is why he signed on to do a $50-million concert tour.

So stop it. I don't want to be a vagina, but I made this commemorate the man who's music inspired not just me, but countless others out there. If you want to shit on his legacy, do it elsewhere.

And what that link fails to mention is that the kid's description of the splotches and marks weren't that accurate. Some were correct, but they were obvious because MJ's whole body was covered with them at one point. And the whole "draw Michael Jackson's penis thing" is absolutely the most moronic thing the prosecutors could've done. Any 13-14 year old kid could draw that...hell, some draw them all over schools and walls as graffiti.

Dave Chappelle was 100% right in his skit about it.

The one thing I'm hoping for out of this tragic news is a compilation album that inlcudes many unreleased songs and material from the King of Pop himself.

When MJ's brother read his information to the media, the sadness, the love and compassion for his deceased little brother, I cried. It was then that it truly hit home for me.

I'll miss you and your performances MJ. Enjoy those angel wings. No one to hurt you where you are now. (sniff)

Regardless what people think of him outside the music business he was one of the greatest music talents ever. I just wish I had been able to see him live it would have been brilliant I am sure. He is with some of the other greats now Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, Elvis, The Big Bopper, Jimi Hendrix plus many more. Rest In Peace Sir :(
