New Suikoden Title Inbound For PS3?
Role-playing fans will always smile at the mention of "Suikoden," as it usually brings back tons of pleasant memories from the PS1 and PS2 days.
The original was woefully underrated by critics - GameSpot should burn for that score - but RPG fans adored it, and each and every installment since then (with the exception of Suikoden IV) have really delivered for fans of the genre, which is why we're all kinds of excited about seeing Konami trademark a new Suikoden title. Personally, I've been waiting for a new entry in the franchise since Suikoden V; this series always gives us fantastic storylines, great characters, and a turn-based style of combat that just never got old. Of course, we get the feeling that if this new project is indeed for consoles, there's little chance it will be true turn-based, as that mechanic appears to be extinct. But we imagine the story should once again be well worth seeing, and remember, all previous iterations have been exclusive to the PlayStation brand. Granted, we're in a new generation now - one that is quick to kill off third-party exclusivity - but we'd like to believe Konami should know exactly where their supporting fans are...yeah, they're very likely on the PlayStation side of things. So don't forget about us!
But really, we just want Suikoden VI for next-gen consoles. Next to Final Fantasy, it's my favorite all-time RPG franchise and I had better get another awesome title! I'm not demanding or anything... ;)

Playing Suikoden just makes me happy, exploring your castle/headquarters that keeps expanding is just awesome. Please make more sub-bosses or secret dungeons or secret enemies because all those 100 something characters are just screaming...USE ME !! Can't wait what new features they're gonna implement. Lastly, can I please use Leknaat already ? I'm sure she's a very powerfull magician. Suikoden FTW !

I'm with Lenoxseer and WorldEndsWithMe. I didn't think it was that bad but it was alittle bland. The same Suikoden concepts still applied. One thing that they changed was the number off members you could have in battle which i will say made it feel somewhat foreign to the other title.

I've only played Suikoden III (and I didn't finish it), but I enjoyed what I played.
I was also tempted to buy Suikoden Tactics, but it didn't get strong reviews.
A turn-based mechanic with a little "next-gen" gloss (so that, for instance, the action is fluid, but pauses when each turn comes, instead of having the characters bounce in place) would be much appreciated.
Throw in improved tactical considerations like relative position and facing and it would really be a winner.

Despite a lot of people hating it, I sort of liked the Trinity Sight system. It was fun playing the game in the other MC's perspective.
I hope they don't bring back the incredibly boring sailing of Suikoden 4...
