Tekken 6 Director: Happy To See Street Fighter "Make A Comeback"
Fighting fans love fighters. Many are loyal to one particular franchise, but they always enjoy hearing about successful games in their genre.
Take Tekken 6 director Katsuhiro Harada, for example. He may consider Street Fighter IV competition - despite the fact that it launched back in February - but the game's undeniable critical and sales success has impressed him. In speaking to VideoGamer.com, Harada said it was great to see fighting games battling their way back into the limelight. He also cited Soul Calibur IV and the latest Mortal Kombat as good performers and it seems he's banking on this renewed love affair with fighters for the ultimate success of Tekken 6. Here's what Harada had to say about SFIV:
"I’ve been a fan of Street Fighter in general, and I was kind of sad to see it die out in the arcades. So I was very happy to see it make a comeback – especially with that new look it returned with while staying true to the original formula. I believe a lot of fans were very happy with that."
Well, you can bet that Tekken 6 won't stray from the original formula that made the franchise a smash success in the first place. It is scheduled to launch in the US on October 27 and with SFIV faring so well, it seems a safe bet to assume that Tekken 6 will be another hit. It must be a good feeling for all the fighting fans to see their old favorites generating so much interest.

Boring character designs
That's what I've never liked 'bout Guilty Gear. It's the same team behind it, so the character designs are still one-dimensional, sadly.
They say it's a good fighting game though. But if I don't like the cast I can't really care enough to bore myself to death with characters which don't appeal to me.
Same fate SFIII suffered.

Technical gameplay (check).. actually its okay.
Good-looking fighting moves (check check check!).. I didn't like them but perhaps some people gonna find them funny.
Deep character interactions (check).. okay but not outstanding.
Variety (check) a bunch of moe chicks variety?..I don't think so.
Something for everyone (check) .. No but some people are going to like it cuz is a good fighter.
but game of the decade??? NO!

Let me add that I'm very adept at all fighting games, and love what some of them do for the competitor circuit. Namely Soul Calibur, Tekken, BlazBlue (will be getting it soon), SF3 and 4, MVC2 (to a lesser extent), and Virtua Fighter. I want to add DOA but I haven't enjoyed it since DOA2 as 3 & 4 felt very average.

Do you honestly think namco and sega want see Tekken and VF alone being the only draw to the arcades? Given SF popularity its enough to stage a resurgence of the arcade scene(which I personally think is good)
