Demon's Souls Launching On October 6, Deluxe Edition Detailed
We get the sneaking suspicion that too many of you are discounting Demon's Souls, the PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG that snagged the hearts of most every critic and many gamers when it released in Japan. Our advice? Don't discount this potential gem.
Now, as reported by ABC's News10, Atlus has announced that this innovative action/RPG is being admitted into their "Atlus Spoils fan appreciation program." Not only will North America receive Demon's Souls on October 6 of this year, but they will also be able to pick up a special deluxe edition. For only ten bucks more ($69.99), you will nab a unique 150+ page strategy guide, and bear in mind that it's not available for sale as a separate item. If you want it, you need to fork over the cash for the deluxe edition. Plus, if you wish to pre-order - retailers will start taking pre-orders on July 8 - you will also get a free bonus art book. Said Atlus Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tim Pivnicny:
"Atlus Spoils is all about giving back to our fans and thanking them for their support, and we're excited to be able to do something very special for Demon's Souls. On October 6th, PlayStation 3 system owners will be treated to the definitive release of what many consider to be the most innovative action RPG in recent memory. With both the standard and deluxe versions of the game accompanied by irresistible North American exclusives, like a special pre-order bonus art book, we hope this is an offer patient Demon's Souls fans will be hard-pressed to resist."
We know many of you RPG fans are eagerly anticipating the release of White Knight Chronicles, but that won't happen until next year, and we've been hearing some pretty amazing things about Demon's Souls. If it's not on your "most anticipated" list for 2009, you had best find it...or we will find you. No, seriously.

It may not be for everyone, but at least give it a try - this is a game one must experience to judge if it is "for me or not".
