A Crack In Time Pre-Order Goodies: Availability Explained
Pre-order incentives are big these days, but many of the more astute gamers realize that such bonuses will likely become available at a later date.
Such is the case for the upcoming Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. As outlined over at the PlayStation Blog, the world's biggest game retailers will be offering several pre-order goodies. This includes the Discovery Package, Power Package, Bolt Package, and Space Package. However, as you can see, we've linked you to a specific comment posted by Insomniac Community Relations Manager James Stevenson, and it clearly states that much of this will be made available to everyone at some point. Some of it may be unlocked while playing through the game, while other bonuses will be delivered via free DLC. As Stevenson said:
"Many of the items (like the Bolt Basher and Box Magnetizer) will be available through the course of the game as you play. And just like the Grim and Malikov pre-order skins we eventually released to the community for free, I’m confident that if you are crazy and want ALL of the content, you’ll eventually get it."
Granted, if you wish to pre-order, you can certainly nab all the listed goodies early. That's the whole point of the pre-order, right? So hardcore fans will probably still want to do this, but we don't want everyone thinking they have to make a deposit on the game if they want to see those extras. You may have to wait a little longer, but they'll eventually arrive; that's the beauty of DLC. Besides, when's the last time Insomniac let their loyal fan base down?

As long as nothing is comepletely locked away from everybody else.
Like if some one decides to have 1 special weapon/power for pre-orders only then.. well let's just say, for me:
1 weapon/power = 3+ hours of gameplay and upgrading
Even if I did have money to throw around I wouldn't want to pre-order. Because Ratchet & Clank is so awesome that I just need to start from scratch, where I'll feel kind of vulnerable at times.
Besides. We'll get uber powerful with maxed out weapons by playing the game anyway? There's no choice, it always happens.
