Agetec Distributing Way Of The Samurai 3 In North America

This may be a little difficult to understand, so we'll do our best to explain things clearly.

Way of the Samurai 3 launched last year in Japan to sold reviews and decent popularity (it managed to sell almost 100,000 units in its first week). Developed by Acquire, it was originally announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, but then it was ported to the Xbox 360 earlier in 2009. Then, we learned that UFO Interactive would be distributing the title in North America...which immediately caused some concern amongst PS3 owners, as UFO is only licensed to publish games for the Xbox 360. Therefore, some began to believe that Way of the Samurai 3 would only be available for the 360 in the US. However, according to PS3Center, Agetec will distribute the PS3 version of the game in this region, and both versions will release simultaneously some time later this year. Also, the PS3 version will include any extra content that was included in the 360 port, so that should satisfy all fans of the series. Now, this isn't exactly a blockbuster franchise here in the US, but we know there are fans out there. ...right?

Anyway, we'll let you know when Agetec hands out a release date for Way of the Samurai 3 in North America.

Sweet i loved the 1st 2 games. The only thing i hated about the 1st 2 was the day system. I always seemed to get shafted by it when im lookin for a particular ending. Also hope they still have the poor ronin in the character creator i always do the 1st playthrough as that character type.

The first was a halfway decent game on the PS2 that came out pretty early in the console's life.
