Michael Jackson Game Will Arrive: "Michael Loved Games"

Although we had heard that a new video game featuring Michael Jackson would release later this year, that report suddenly became clouded when the King of Pop passed away on June 25.

However, according to IndustryGamers citing multiple sources including MCV, Michael Jackson's production company (MJJ Productions) has already been hard at work on this game for "several months," and it even boasts some speech recordings from Jackson himself. An MJJ Productions spokesperson even said, "I am sure it will still be released. Michael loved games." We still have no idea what type of game this will be, despite the obvious suggestion that it'll follow in the footsteps of SingStar or Karaoke Revolution. But then again, it may be something sillier; it may be an action/adventure theme like we had with Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, although that does seem most unlikely. We have a feeling that absolutely anything with Jackson's name on it will be a hot commodity for at least the next few months, and when the holidays roll around, an MJ game might be a very popular item (regardless of how good it actually is). We really hope it'll be something decent; a title that Jackson's fans can really get behind.

Of course, you do realize that he isn't dead, right? He's gonna show up somewhere and moonwalk across the stage at exactly the right moment...I've spent time around PR people in the past, and I wouldn't put it past them. If you really think about it, it's the perfect solution to his current problems. But I don't mean to be disrespectful; I just wish he'd come back. R.I.P., MJ. :(

Well if it's good I'll buy it even though I'm not a fan.

On second thought, I might not buy it....

Unless it's REALLY good...

No Doubt I will buy it even if it's so so.I just hope is not too close to space channel 5 b/c even thought I loved that game I have never been able to get past the first level.A Singstar type of game would be more soothing and easier to pick up.

I've been thinking Insomniac could do a cool tribute to MJ with the Groovatron.

I have been deleting people off my PSN buddy list who even mention the king of poop. I was tired of hearing about it when the news networks were reporting on a possible "cardiac issue".

I even called it, that he croaked. DEAD MAN IN THE MIRROR.

Ha! Did you see what she/he did there!? Instead of the king of pop, they put the king of POOP! HAH! Isnt that just so funny and ordinal? And do you see his/her ignorance at a very important person in music's death? Hilarious. My favorite part is "Dead man in the mirror" because it doesnt make any freakin' sense, but its cute.

Good one.

And anyone that down votes this can "suck a duck" because you must be very ignorant to see that Micheal Jackson transformed music. You should at least give him respect now that hes dead. Just a little. I am so tired and angry seeing these comments about how he was a child predator or how he didnt matter and everyone hated him. I would've said much, much more stuff to you, Zubra, but I dont think Ben or the other admins/ mods would like that kind of stuff.

I detect very heavy astronomical amounts of sarcasm in Masterofallz post.I was going to ask ZubraZap if his writer is seeking employment since I am thinking of getting in the comedy business myself.

I'd rather see a Rhapsody video game based on the Emerald Sword saga since I'm not a fan of Pop but if it's an action/adventure then that's wonderful but I don't think it could possibly be karaoke or dancing

MJ is awesome. I remember the days I used to stay in the arcade for hours playing the moonwalker game where you get to turn into a robot MJ. That game was awesome.

If the game in anyway shape or form goes into a scifi adventure ala Moonwalker and Captain EO, I am very much sold.

Im not looking forward to singstar or music games. I want my MJ rockin it in an action adventure. Preferably side scrolling arcade beat em up!

Heck I second the Moonwalker HD notion!

I agree, I hope it's some kinda freaky funky action game. I would love to press the trigger button to induce a crotch grab that would stun all enemies, fling a fedora for some blade cutting action.....heck, hopefully we could sic that baby tiger from the Thriller cover.

If it's only a SingStar type game, I better start practicing my "hee hees" now, cause I'll get that too.

I'm sure Sega would be down, since they make other games available like the Sega classics.

ZubraZap, you are a complete waste of time!
you have no use other than to annoy the general online population, weather u like it or not, neither you, ur ancestors nor your generations would ever be as great as MJ.
what a waste!

You got a little carried away there jerocarson.Being realistic here artist like Mariah Carey,Prince, and Madonna and every other artist in the world today have no chance to be as great as MJ.So comparing MJ to his ancestors was a low blow even thought what came out of ZubraZap mouth was childish.
