Next Grand Theft Auto May Hit For 2010 Holiday Rush
Grand Theft Auto IV became an instant phenomenon in this generation when it launched over a year ago to widespread critical acclaim and immense popularity. Take-Two will likely expect nothing less from the next entry in the long-running franchise.
The only question people have is, "when?" Well, according to VideoGamer, Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter said the publisher confirmed to him that the next GTA has been in development "for over a year." Not surprisingly, the game will use similar game engines as GTAIV and Rockstar North is "highly motivated" to finish the project, as the inevitable big payoff will most certainly follow the game's hotly anticipated release. If you remember, Take-Two delayed a bunch of titles, including Bioshock 2, until "fiscal 2010," and that just so happens to be the scheduled time frame for Grand Theft Auto V. However, Pachter says that while it seems clear that the next GTA just might launch next year, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll hit store shelves before October 31, 2010 (the end of Take-Two's fiscal year). In other words, we could be looking at a holiday 2010 launch for this mega-blockbuster, and that alone could turn next year's Christmas rush into an absolute frenzy. Pachter estimates that this new GTA will ultimately sell between 15 and 18 million units, and while we figure it's a realistic goal, it only reminds us of the ridiculous popularity of this series...
So anyway, we'll keep an eye on things and see if the first few pieces of GTAV information will soon become available. If they've been working on it for over a year, maybe we'll have something soon...

"Our goals for fiscal 2010 include operating the company profitably on a Non-GAAP basis without a new multi-platform Grand Theft Auto release," Feder told investors during a conference call.
he speaks about "multi-platform Grand Theft Auto" release, so a Exclusiv GTA is possible???

Something that I would be interested in seeing in GTA V is the addition of the Karma system. Certain missions will be available to you depending on whether you are good, evil or neutral. Can you imagine what a game would be like if they mixed Fallout 3, GTA and InFamous all in one?
You won't be able to get 100% completion until you've played each of the story alternatives. which adds to re-playability, plus online, although I only played a bit of GTAIV's online. In the old game you played someone who always lived on the wrong side of the law, what if you had the option to become a cop in the game? Or you could be a good criminal or a dirty cop...(something like the movie "the departed") The options would be endless. Maybe instead of just picking up hookers for health, you could take down their pimps for armor as well...I think that's what the appeal of these games are. You can do and be whoever you like without the consequences of being butt loved in prison...

Plus, if you think about it, GTA games are always about the underdog. The lowest common denominator. Some dude, who came from a hard life, trying to make it in the US, now having to resort back to his evil ways, simply because they won't let him go. And we all know how much the US loves the Underdog story.
Anyway, IV didn't deserve a perfect 10, imo. But, it was a fun game, had tons of variety and kept me playing for quite some time. All in all, definitely a worthy purchase.
So is Gran Turismo 5, which I will always harpoon every gaming thread I come upon, with my overwhelming desire to fondle, said game.

It's okay though, GTA will always have a special place. There was nothing better than getting together with friends, ingesting certain chemicals and taking turns seeing who can survive longest against the cops/army/etc. While fighting back a laughing fit.

10 out of 10 or 5 out of 5 (or elephant out of elephant, if that's what you're into) doesn't denote perfection it is a grade to describe one of the best available game experiences out there. And at the time of GTA4's release many reviewers felt that it was maybe the best overall gaming experiences available on the market. And while you don't have to agree (as I've said it's all subjective) I think it's important to understand that if 10 out of 10 denotes perfection then no game ever made has or will deserve such a rating.

I just hope they do it right this time. I mean GTAIV was great and all but come on... No woodland areas, no monster Trucks, no car mods... no Jets...F*** actually they let me down in GTAIV, I mean I was blown away by it but after the story mode there was nothing to keep me going...
The exclusive DLC to the Xbox didn't help either. But even if we did get it it still didn't fill that void it had in my opinion.
I hope that GTAV will be everything it can be... And pls DON'T tell me it has some stuff removed because they ran out of space or time. F*** that but it on multiple disks for the Xbox and rather release it on a later date and use the time to put everything it once had back in(at least).

*Note that I was really into the Godfather at this time as well*
I thought the characters and stories were brilliant, the city is alive and finding new ways to blow sh** up is cool.
Niko is the bomb.
I think it does deserve a 9.7+/10 but that's just me.
This game came with my PS3 in September last year and I'm still playing it. Though due to the fact that I need to get to Lv 10. I mean I am still playing it. I guarantee no one here is ^_^
Completed to 100% on 2nd play through, now I'm doing a 3rd for training purposes. The purpose of training Disallow.
Reasons of awesome:
1. The combat system is so flippin' deep. Especially online. Which is where Disallow comes in (a.k.a. Auto-aim Off).
Auto-aim made everything so noob, and it took me a while to realize. Now the game is more fun and challenging.
New and non-hardcore players don't realize this but it adds a whole new dimension. It takes skill, because aiming is so weird.
The deadzone to make bullet contact with the target has to be exact or else it won't hit at all. Unlike a FPS or common TPS where the physics allow detailed collision
Disallow separates the pro's from everyone else and I'm proud to be the people who use it in every match no matter what.
2. Free Mode
I've spent longer hours in a day in Free Mode than I've spent in any RPG's I've played. Which I'm not proud of. And I spend a lot of time on RPGs
3. Annihilator Helicopter (6 barrel machine/chain guns)
Don't even get me started on this. It's simply magical. Hence it's nickname... 90% of the players don't know that this is pretty much the most deadly weapon in the game, theoretically (next to Sniper Rifle). I mean sweet Jesus. There's guys that can take you out in like 5-10 seconds on these things, no matter where you hide.
I've been training this and hell it's been super fun and I kill a lot of people within the 10-60 second mark.
*All of the above pretty much covers stuff for people like me with no lives and just love being hardcore at every game that have*
-BACK ON TOPIC-
I'm really looking forward to GTAV!!!
I just hope they fix some movement jerking. Fix the multiplayer unlockables. Add more weapons. Make helicopter (aviation) combat more involved. Coz man GTA IV heli's are fun.
And keep a sad story element too.
[Spoiler]
I cried when Kate and/or Roman died as much as I did when Tidus left Yuna alone with a baby with no father (LOL).
BTW,
I don't recommend Free Mode when you're not happy. Because the little kids and American/German/French douche bags on there can really ruin your day.

Just think they shouldn't have taken out so much stuff like the car mods and jets, and the Monster Truck.... But that's just me.
