Battlefield 1943 And Bad Company 2: Connected Somehow?
Battlefield 1943 is one of the best downloadable titles currently available, but some fans of the series have opted to wait until Battlefield: Bad Company 2 arrives (possibly later this year).
That's understandable, but did you realize that EA and DICE may be tying the two games together in a certain way? It's difficult to interpret the exact meaning of a recent Tweet on the OfficialBF1943 Twitter page, but it may indicate some sort of future connectivity between the titles in question. Here's the message that has turned a few heads:
"Think you're a Bad Ass with BF1943 weapons? What if I said you'll be able to use your Semi-Auto Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or SMG in BFBC2!"
Now, this may only be a little incentive to play BF1943 because you'll see the same weapons in Bad Company 2, but it certainly begs the question: might there be actual gameplay tie-ins? If you perform well enough in one, might you receive a small reward or bonus of some kind in the other? It's kinda weird, as one uses a completely different setting (we're talking about two different wars, here), but leave it to EA to make a connection to entice gamers. Battlefield 1943 really is good, and now we're wondering if we should play it a little more to "prepare" for Bad Company 2...or something like that. Oh, those sneaky PR guys...

I'm sure that EA and Dice have thought of this though. Actually knowing EA you will probably be able to unlock the guns if you play the game, but just in case, they'll sell them to you as DLC as soon as the game launches too...

its making me waste so much money.
i bought a 360 for NG2 now thats comming to ps3 what a waste.
i bought a psp for god of war than sold it 3 weeks later.
now assassins creed bloodlines is comming to the psp.
if you want to make sence of AC1 and to some extent AC2 than you have to buy a psp + Ac bloodlines.
honestly ive wasted 1K at least in hardware just for 1 title.
if it was all on the one system it started on i wouldent have this problem.
or in a perfect world this wont happen because its to expensive.
bring said game to all systems but have a different team working on each.
that way each version will be the best it can be and it wont be comprimised by its counterpart.
like the ps3 coppy of RAGE is.
that was going to be 3 DVDs with 1 blu-ray.
now theve cut some of the content of both versions because 3 disks will cost them to much cash.
and they dont want to release a inferior copy on one system which is BS.
why should i get less of the game just because M$ dont support bluray.
