Shatter Was Second Most Downloaded Title On PSN

We say Shatter is one of the best downloadable titles available, and it may have the best value of any game on the PSN. For only $7.99, you get a supremely fun and polished experience.

We were hoping plenty of people would respond and reward Sidhe Interactive's efforts, but we were a little concerned that with the recently released Battlefield 1943 and the highly anticipated Fat Princess factoring in (it just dropped yesterday), Shatter might get overlooked. But thankfully, according to PlayStation LifeStyle, Sidhe has revealed that their excellent title was the second most downloaded title on the PSN, only behind Battlefield 1943. We're still awaiting the official sales figures, but it's just good to know that Shatter hasn't gotten lost in the shuffle of great downloadable titles. Remember, both Battlefield 1943 and Fat Princess are $14.99; Shatter is only $7.99, and while it's not as deep and doesn't feature crazy robust online play, it doesn't have to. It's simple yet beautiful, and it has earned a permanent place in the PSN elite amongst the likes of Wipeout HD and echochrome. One wouldn't think that such a straightforward, even old-fashioned, concept would be so much fun, but...yeah, it is.

Oh, and we'll have a Fat Princess review for you this weekend. That game is pretty great, too. The PSN is turning out to be an awesome option for gamers this summer!

I would have bought this game but I've actually been trying to play some of my other games that I haven't been completing. I will get this though and it's great to hear the support that it has garnered from the fans. Looking forward to adding this title to my PSN collection soon.

I want this title, but I have my hands full witht the awesome Wipeout Fury add on. It basically doubled the size of Wipeout HD and makes it my favorite downloadable title by far. But I am really looking forward to picking this one up in the near future.

I'm still playing Blast Factor and Super Stardust HD....awesome and addicting gameplay. Shatter looks to continue that trend....must purchase soon.

Thank you PSN.

This is one game that I was on the fence about, what with Fat Princess being made available this week.

However, after finding out how much we Europeans were being charged for FP, and listening to the impressive Shatter soundtrack, I will be picking this up sometime over the weekend. :)

I ended up getting Fat Princess and I don't regret that the game is so much fun and its actually pretty funny too. I will eventually get Shatter but it might be a couple weeks before I do. The game looks like a lot of fun also and after reading the review I want to get it.

dam it i need to get a higher download limit.
i wish sony would start compressing the content.
to download everything i want of the PSN im going to need a 30GB limit if not more.
almost anything i download off there is 1GB.
it would be nice if they could zip it to a .rar file or something than once downloaded unzip the file, that way i can actually download some stuff.

naked DSL.
which is supose to be almost as fast as ADSL2+ close but not quite.
every single connection (besides dial up) has a download limit, the max you can get here in australia is 50GB per month and that is bloody freaking expensive.
