SOE: The Agency Is Still On Track
It was one of the first projects Sony Online Entertainment revealed for the PlayStation 3, and although it seems to have suffered a loss, SOE claims the game is still on track.
We first heard about The Agency last year and as it would be a major release for the PlayStation Network, we paid close attention. But according to Eurogamer, several key SOE staff members have left the studio: director and executive producer Matt Wilson, art director Corey Dangel and producer John Smith left in early July to form their own studio, called Detonator Games. Wilson told Eurogamer that "it was a very hard decision to make," but they still feel it was the "right decision." Obviously, this has raised questions about the future of The Agency, but despite some Seattle sources claiming that SOE would have to "rethink" the title and possibly delay it beyond its projected 2010 launch date, SOE says things are still on track.
"The Agency is not undergoing a reboot of any sorts - that is incorrect...the team in Seattle is still working diligently on this project and we're looking forward to showing you new content in the future."
Well, that's good to know, and let's not forget that this game was indeed at E3, and it was playable. Although some of SOE's most important members have jumped ship, don't say The Agency is down for the count, because it appears that SOE will continue to soldier forth. We'll bring you more as it happens.

@Ben: Any word on whether or not Detonator Games will be 3rd or 2nd party?
