Assassin's Creed II "Master" Edition Only At GameStop

GameStop has been making some big moves as of late, and that includes a major revamping of their rewards system (TBA), and gaining exclusive rights to certain Collectors Editions of games.

If you want to snag the very cool Assassin's Creed II Limited Edition: Master Assassin's Edition, you'll have no choice but to either visit your local GameStop or order from their online store. It's coming for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will hold a retail price of $79.99; one local GameStop here has confirmed this, and adds that there are a "set number" of these special editions available. Therefore, we suggest you move quickly. Here's what you'll get in the box when you open 'er up:

  • Ezio collectable statue (8.5 inches tall)
  • Two exclusive in-game maps- Palazzo Medici – Pre-Order Unlockable Map, and the Santa Maria Dei Frari – Limited Edition Exclusive
  • The Art of Assassin’s Creed II hard-covered art book
  • Additional Bonus Disc that includes a Behind the scenes of Assassin’s Creed II, and the Assassin’s Creed II soundtrack
  • Premium Collectable Tin

There are a whole lot of big special editions heading our way this fall, so it's very likely that you'll have to be selective. You probably want at least one of them, so perhaps it's best to play the "more bang for your buck" game. When you do that, you have to admit that getting the above goodies for an extra $20 doesn't seem like too bad of a deal...especially considering the price of other game packages ('cough' Activision 'cough').

Oh come on, who honestly wants the soundtrack to Assassins Creed II..... OR THE TOY

I wouldnt mind the artbook, as for the in game content it should be in the game, there are to many special edtions for this game, 1's bad enough.

I like to think of buying the CE's as funding future game development.
I also like dumb game figures for my cube at work; some people have pictures of their kids, I have my game figures.

same here...I got it for like $20 and only cause it got fantastic reviews...only plaed through like the first third though...never finished GTAIV either and haven't even started fallout 3 yet...so little time, so many games to play...

I thought that at first, but i missed it once i sold it, so i recently bought it again to play on ocassions, because yes, it is very repetative, i hope thats the one thing they fix on ACII

In this moment I was triying to play it but instead ended playing Yakuza 3 demo...LOL those 30 min the demo give me owns all the Assassin's Creed game .

If your local GameStop bothers to carry the PS3 version that is. If they can fit it in between the shelves and shelves of used games. If you can stand asking for a PS3 game of any kind in a GameStop where PS3 is apparently as welcome as a far in a spacesuit. If, indeed.

The one I go to literally has more shelf space for used games (all platforms, not just PS3), and used game bins fill the floor space. They carry a very poor selection of new PS3 releases and their staff is generally speaking quite biased, not malicious, just a bit biased.

From my experience and reading that of others, this is fairly typical.

i love the edition and goodies, but in order to order it online and get it shipped to canada, it costs another 14.99, so i will have to re-think about it to decide with edition i actually go with. My attention will be on Demon's souls delux edition, and that will not be compromised. lol

loved my 1st one i will not be buying this 2nd one or any game for that matter i'm leavin my ps3 @ home and i'll be leavimg for my post-graduate degree :(

Hmm... I bought the special edition for the first Assassin's Creed, so I think I'd like to buy it for AC II as well, but only thing that is stopping me from getting it is I have to get it from GameStop (I believe it's EB games here in Vancouver, Canada) Last time I pre-order a special edition, they didn't give me everything that come with the game, so I don't think I want to pre-order any games from them again.

meh ive got the black edition on order, cant wait till it comes out.
but i was thinking today i would love to see this game working with natal.
now that would be cool, using the hidden blades to block a enemies attack than smack them in the bottom of the chin.
this is the perfect game for motion controllers.

sort of its missing the hologram from the black edition box, and the etzio figurine is in white instead of black.
this is the white edition, the black edition has the really cool hologram
