Greed Corp: An Innovative Strategy Title For the PSN

Has anyone noticed how many excellent exclusives are currently available on the PlayStation Store? There always seems to be a new reason to log on to the PSN these days, and W!Games is ready to give you another one.

The game is Greed Corp, a turn-based strategy title that will actually be "the first in a series of games situated in a rich, fictional world inspired by the industrial revolutions and their destructive effects on the environment." Most strategy fans are familiar with the concept of harvesting resources, but when one has to consider what this harvesting does to the surrounding landscape, the entire complexion of the adventure changes. Basically, you're dealing with finite resources, which means you'll have the option of destroying your enemies or their land; they'll be trying to do the same to you. We will receive a "comprehensive single-player campaign," and the game will support up to four players at once, in other an offline or online setting. If you'd like to learn more about this interesting concept, head on over to the official site, which currently features a great-looking trailer. We've often said that the PSN is home to some of the most innovative and unique titles of the generation, and it appears as if we'll have another must-try downloadable game very soon.

Greed Corp is scheduled to arrive towards the end of September, and we'll let you know when we have a definitive date and price.

Anyway sounds like a fun little game. I'm not much a strategy person, but hey this could be fun.
