Another Hint That Gran Turismo 5 Will Launch This Year
Every time we see more footage of Gran Turismo 5 or pop in Prologue, we grow that much more excited for the final product. And if it does indeed drop this year...party time, baby!
Plenty of evidence has been found regarding the very possible launch of GT5 in 2009, and now, we have another little hint: if you listen to the latest 1Up podcast, you'll hear the conversation concerning a "big Sony title" that people initially didn't expect to arrive this year. Someone asks what this mystery title is and they add, "yeah, what are you driving at...?" This week is the GamesCom event in Cologne, Germany, and Sony's press conference is scheduled for Tuesday. Therefore, we don't have much longer to wait before a few of 2009's biggest announcements should hit the Internet like a ton of bricks; the PS3 price drop, the PS3 Slim, and, if recent info is accurate, a 2009 release date for GT5. Really, all we want is a price drop but we can always use a few more in the way of jaw-dropping reveals. The only problem we have will be the additional difficulty in picking a Game of the Year...how many titles do we have to consider?! This is getting nutty; why not release The Last Guardian, too?
Anyway, keep a close eye on PSXE for all the big stuff this week. At this rate, the news may be bigger than what we saw during Sony's conference at E3.

Second, my question wasn't directed at you now, was it?
Still, I'm sorry you lost your job.
Third, my question was sincere, I meant no malice so your response was wholly out of line.
Fourth, I only asked because some people, who still have their jobs and paychecks, are fretting over the economy and the "recession." These same people are freaking out and cutting back on expenditures, which they don't have to do because they still have money. When a lot of people cut back on spending when they don't have to that only makes the economic downward spiral worse.

i know they announced a march 2010 release date at E3 but something caught my eye today.
GAME and EB had GOW3 listed as TBC 2010 than E3 came and they set it as march 2010, as of today they have moved it to TBC 2009.
somethings fishy, they wouldent of moved the date unless they have some info we dont.
i doubt GT5 will be out this year because the exact same things happened but in reverse, GT5 was been listed on EB GAME and JBHIFI as TBC 2009 but has recently been set back to 2010.
screw the price drop.
screw the slim PS3.
screw BC (even though i really want to play R&C3)
screw GT5
JUST GIVE ME GOD OF WAR 3!

I'm tired of fanboys arguing over which is the best console racing sim. We need to settle this soon!!!
(I'm a secret fanboy so I don't like Turn 10's leader nor Forza's die hard fans)
Especially the guy that keeps arguing with me that Forza 3 is more of a sim and GT is and always was an arcade game.
I mean..... o_O what?
I continued to be nice to the guy but he was older than me and tried making me believe his opinions, I don't get it? Right?

But great news for us, and just to say it again... I called it! I knew they would drop GT5 this year. My bet was Xmas 09. But if it comes with the price drop,PS3 Slim and adding BC again... With games like Uncharted 2, and R&C also dropping in October.... It's gonna be a stampede.... NICE!!!!

Now, with another big Sony title, MAG, getting pushed to January 2010, Sony HAS to release GT5 this year. Otherwise, it is left with just Uncharted 2 to carry the exclusive flag this holiday season.
While Uncharted 2 is going to be amazing, Sony needs more than that to have a good showing this holiday season. Sony needs to release one of its classic franchises.
