Resonance Of Fate: Over 150 Hours Of Total Gameplay
Although it's still a little ways off, Resonance of Fate is one of our most anticipated RPGs of the generation. The style and atmosphere is most appealing and after doing the preview, we became very, very excited.
And now, more information has come from this week's GamesCom event, and what's most compelling is the numbers located by PS3Attitude: towards the end of that article, it says that Resonance of Fate contains over 150 hours of gameplay if the dedicated gamer wishes to do absolutely everything. Now, many will simply scoff at this and say such a number includes everything from side-quests to nabbing insanely difficult Trophies. In other words, 150 hours may not matter to the average gamer...but then again, since when do casual gamers play RPGs in the first place? Aren't we talking about a fairly hardcore group, here? Besides, we further learn that even the "standard" play-through will take anywhere between 50 and 80 hours, and that's pretty darn impressive. It's not exactly surprising, though, as tri-Ace is well-known for making some lengthy RPG titles. And if this game turns out as good as we hope it will, we have no problem at all with these length estimates. In fact, we love 'em.
Read up on Resonance of Fate via that preview link, and don't forget that we've got a gameplay video, too. It's in our preview...go read it if you wanna see the vid. ;)

borderlands.
alpha protocol.
this.
FFXIII.
FF V XIII.
diablo 3.
starcraft 2.
only if we had that many ninja styled games.
ninja gaiden is one of my favorite series sword fighting games are my favorite genre, and sadly there the most deserted.
theres tunns of FPS, TPS racing games, puzle games,MMOs, RPGs.
but barely any ninja styled sword fighting games, and barely any platformers.
how many games of those 2 genres have been released in the last 2 years?
ninja styled games we have NG2 and NGS2 and that new tenchu game thats it 3 by my count.
platforming we have uncharted uncharted 2 R&C series infamous and thats about it.
theres like 2 games of either genre to 100 games of the FPS genre or even the racing genre.

Still buying the FF13 franchises due to being a big-fan of the series, but still, you're not getting off that easy.

I'm not yet convinced that I'll purchase this game, but as I said, that's still an impressive number.
If only more people would follow suit...
