Pandemic Studios Teasing Two Mystery Projects
It's tough to generate hype for games that haven't been announced, but at least early hints can kick off some speculation and debate.
As noted by Koku Gamer, Pandemic Studios is teasing a couple new projects, currently known only as "Project X" and "Project Y." The team is building up the word-of-mouth by making topics about each in the forums; here's the one for Project X and this one is for Project Y. Now, Project Y seems like it might be a new IP:
"We’re confident that Project Y is a game that will break new ground in its category and in the video game industry. Unfortunately, for the time being, we can’t even tell anyone what category. Stay tuned – this one will be announced soon."
So there's no knowing what it might be. Project X, on the other hand, appears to represent the continuation of an established franchise. The Pandemic message regarding this mystery project is as follows:
"We’re so amped up about Project X that it’s hard for us not to tell everyone everything about it today. But we can’t. When we can talk about this project, we’ll have all the exciting news here on this site."
Now, Koku Games says it might be the oft-rumored Star Wars Battlefront III, but let's not forget about the ongoing Mercenaries franchise; the relatively well-received games that are similar to Grand Theft Auto in terms of open-ended, sandbox-style gameplay. Either way, we should have the first details on both projects some time soon, so stay tuned for those. But who wants Mercs 3?

but i have tonnes of new titles.
What bothers me though, is without hype, these days a game never seems to be good. how many un hyped games (apart from the early days of this gen, so all the original titles for the ps3 and what not) made it big?

jesus christ ive never met such a pathetic company, you ask when there going to fix something so they remove you.
yea thats the professional thing to do, when somethings broken toss a coat of paint on it and resell it.
BRILLIANT!
im sorry i dident know pandemic were owned and run by microsoft.
they delayed that game like 6 times and it still was fooked, i would hate to imagine what it would of been like if they released it on its original date.
standing next to a car and melee it kills you.
you fall 2 cm and half your healths gone.
people firing rocket launchers THROUGH CEMENT WALLS!
ive never been able to understand how either of these are possible.
last time i checked rocket launchers explode on impact therefore they CANT GO THROUGH WALLS!

Battlefront 3 would also be nice, but i have a feeling they'd be under pressure to turn it into "COD: Star Wars" from the powers that be.

I definitely want Battlefront 3 more! They need to add heroes in space and flesh that all out a bit more. The craft need to be bigger with more of an emphasis on sabotage or commandeering.
