BioWare Not Saying "No" To Mass Effect On The PS3
Interviews have a language all their own. Interviewers and interviewees are usually schooled in this language, unbeknownst to the viewing public. But thankfully, the language is exceedingly easy to translate.
PlayStation 3 owners have been wondering if BioWare would ever bring their new role-playing franchise, Mass Effect, to Sony's machine. We all figured that with EA handling the distribution duties, it was only a matter of time, but it hasn't come about just yet. When asked about the possibility of a PS3 version of Mass Effect (or Mass Effect 2), BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka refused to say one little word: "no." When asked in a CVG interview, Muzyka would rather talk about what they've already announced; not what they won't do:
"I think a more accurate way to frame it is to say we've announced we're developing Mass Effect for 360 and PC. Right from the beginning we said we wanted to deliver Mass Effect on the 360. Right now all we've announced is we're working on 360 and PC."
To follow up, the question was, "so a PS3 version might happen then?" Muzyka once again avoided the dreaded "no" word and simply said, "we haven't announced anything on that front." When pressed with "but it's not out of the question?" Muzyka simply repeated himself: "We haven't announced anything on that." You probably don't need a special translation, but if you do, we'll explain it: you don't look at what he said; you examine what he didn't say. If there weren't any plans whatsoever to bring Mass Effect to the PS3, Muzyka would've had no incentive or motivation to say anything but, "nope, it ain't coming."
And so, when someone says, "we haven't announced anything yet," the almost automatic translation should be, "we haven't announced it because we're not ready to announce it." ;)

The Xbots really don't have much to brag about, they can't play they're games half the time because of the RROD, ha! But seriously, does the new Splinter Cell look that good?

this is hard to explain so I copied this from wikipedia.
Screen tearing is a phenomenon in video where a newly rendered frame overlaps a previously rendered frame, creating a torn look as edges of objects (such as a wall or a tree) fail to line up. This occurs when the video card or the software using it begins updating the actively-displayed memory in a manner that is out of sync with the monitor's refresh rate.
Tearing can occur with most common display technologies and video cards, and is most frequently seen on systems where horizontally-moving visuals are commonly found, such as in slow camera pans in a movie, or classic side-scrolling video games. The material being shown may also exhibit vertical stretching or shrinking, or repeated parts of images, during vertical motion, depending on the nature of the video.
The glitches I've noticed are frame rate dips an texture pop in. By all means it doesn't ruin the game. I'm just picky about these things. I think it shows poorer quality. I don't notice these issues with most exclusive PS3 games. More so with Xbox exclusives and mutlipLatform games. I haaaate screen tearing. Gives me a head ache.

yea I get your point but the only games in your list I really care about is FFXIII and Bioshock. I hoping SquareEnix delivers on this or I'm gonna be pissed. If they are telling the truth about the developemet process then it shouldn't suffer any of these flaws.

Mass Effect is perfectly available on PC, and so is Halo 1 & 2 and Gears of war, and I bet that both Halo 3 and Gears 2 will be released on PC sooner or later as well. It's kind of pathetic if you think about it, that Microsoft has to put timed exclusives basically against its own system (PC/Windows) just to make the Xbox 360 look like it actually has some exclusive games of its own...
I said it before, and I'll say it again: If you want to play these games, just get it for PC. We all have one! Those games aren't even that advanced so they run fine on older PCs, and they're still a lot better than the 360 version! How's that for exclusivity?

Not that I mind it; I go where the games I like go. Both PS3 and 360 systems kick ass in their own special way, imo.

I see basically noone talking about this game or the others like Halo or Gears of war as "Microsoft exclusive", everybody's talking about these games as 360 exclusive, which is something completely different and obviously completely wrong.
The 360 is a pointless platform, as long as you have a PS3 and a PC you can get 99% of all the greatest games, nuff said.

What kind of hourage is the game? Do not feel I am missing much, may have to cram it into a full on weekend, so I can develop a opinion on whether the version 2 should come to PS3.

You could also look at it as not pulling a Gabe Newell. "The PS3 is piece of junk and a waste of time!" -> "We need to hire PS3 programmers! We're losing market share!"
Keep your options open.

50 bucks says IF mass effect 2 does come to the PS3 it wont be till at least 6 months after the 360/PC copies.
and that seems kinda pointless because they would have to create mass effect for the ps3 also, just seems like to much trouble to me.
you cant bring a game onto a different console half way through the story.
imagine GOW 4 going to the 360 or halo 4 going to the ps3 or a new zelda game coming to the ps3.
people would be lost in the story, because as far as i know (ive never played mass effect as i HATE! RPGs) it has a very deep interesting storyline, coming in at the second part of the series would be like coming in to the godfather at part 2 completely missing part 1.
now thats a new game i would like to see, a new godfather game but on a much grander scale GF2 was good but lacked polish and scale.
than add in SYPHON FILTER 5 AND BLACK 2!
and im set for life.

Mass Effect
