Examine The Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Perks
You know what can be fun? Looking at a little icon and guessing for yourself what it might indicate...without the aid of a manual or guide.
Although many want to think that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is just a boring ol' sequel; perhaps even a rehash, the truth of the matter is that we'll get some significant upgrades and enhancements this time around. Oh, and let's not forget about an entirely new story and setting (we kinda despise the term "rehash," if you didn't already know). Take a gander at a few of the new multiplayer perks and see if any of 'em catch your eye: up top are the 100% confirmed ones, as Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling announced both already; the Riot Shield and Martyrdom. As for the Shield, two guys will be able to carry it while a third crouches behind it and fires away, which sounds like a totally bad-ass plan. Then there are the icons we're only guessing at for now, although some are fairly plain, like the Dual Wield icon (dual wield any sidearm). There's the winged foot icon, for example, which could indicate faster, longer or even lighter (stealth, baby!) movement. These icons come from a recent teaser trailer so we know they're in the game, and it's only a matter of time before the perks are fully confirmed.
More info and details will continue to head our way over the next few months, and we assume a great many of you have November 11 marked on your calendars. It's gonna be a huge launch.

Every time you killed someone, you had to run away before they detonated.
After a little while, I was saying about anyone who _didn't_ detonate after I shot them: "Wow. That one was a dud."
There were very few.
Martyrdom doesn't add anything interesting to the game. It's pure annoyance. I really wish they'd get wise and remove it from MW2.
But you know they're not. And here it is already listed.

You can throw back the grenade that is dropped. It's actually a lot easier than you think. If you kill them and you're near enough to see the grenade icon, instead of running, grab the grenade and chuck it away.
As for Last Stand, just throw a stun grenade at them or leave someone else finish them off.

@nasah, people get greedy online so they want to get all the point they can, thats just how it is. i hear more people complaining about stealing their kills than martyrdom. I know because i've been on the receiving end of this retaliation by my own team member. I play headquarters and was guarding the inside of the building while this guy just kept getting in my way.

Matyredom never annoyed me enough, I just laughed in annoyance when it got me, it's when I get killed by someone on second chance...it ticks me off.
The one that really annoys me though is rifle grenades...it takes no skill to blow someone up from point blank range -_-

Microsoft just throw out checks to make something from a multiplat AAA game (which are rare nowahdays) exclusive to their "console".

So stoked for this game....
I logged so many hours on COD4 multiplayer, it's just sad.
