FFX would be absolutely fantastic! Brilliant game and I would love to play it again on the big screen. Chances are though, if it is re-released - with the way SE are these days - MS will probably get it too.

I realllyy hope that this GoW collection works well for Sony. This will defenitely set a trend for others to follow. Even if 3rd party publishers do not follow, Sony's first party lineup is massive and really, I don't think we'd see people complaining about B/C because you can't HD goodness with that. I really hope it works well for Sony.

Not sure we need to be discussing who should, I want to know about who might do this. I don't think there is a chance we will see any updated FF on the PS3. I'd love ICO and SOTC, those would be my personal choices and ones I believe might actually happen given the developers niche with Sony.

I want Max Payne 1&2 redone, and Darkwatch. Throw in FFX for the hat trick.

These two games are all it would take to make me happy. I think too many people missed out on Ico when it came out, the game still holds up really well IMO for being an early release on a last gen system.

I agree with ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. I was working on SotC when I got my PS3. After playing HD games, I couldn't (and still can't) go back to my PS2 - so I never finished it.

If these two will come out just before the Last Guardian, I would buy them.

Spent 50 hours on that game, was (and still am) 79% done; I was so lost didn't know where to go :(, but was still fun nonetheless.

In my game, Yuna and Paine were a variety of dresspheres, but Rikku was stuck as songstress....I liked the way she danced ^.^

Listen CAPCOM, if remaking Monster Hunter is the only way of getting it to the PS3 then do it.

Add the stuff (for example monsters and weapons) from MH2 and if you want other stuff (console co-op) from the other games in the franchise.

I could live with this until a real MH game releases.

There isn't one as of now, but I hope there is. There is MH3 though, but why there is it (the true sequel to 2, and any other spinoffs/remakes that have been released) on the Wii, and the Wii only, is beyond me...however it looks pretty good (artistically, graphics are well done).

Plus, since the Wii from a glance, looks more to be an offline-type console (I tried playing online....was laggy as heck!) playing with friends in one place seems to be better than playing it online (MH games are usually played co-operatively, not competitively, and with friends, not just random people)...and the sales most likely factored Capcom's decision to put it on the Wii.

At least that's what I think why MH3 is Wii-exclusive, not PS3. Although, it might be a timed one who knows ^.^?

That's what I want to know.

I already know about why MH3 went to the Wii (insert lame ass excuse) but what's holding it up from happening now. They already know PlayStation owners are loyal to the franchise (look at what happend when it went to the Wii and it's sales # compared to the PSP) and we would buy copies. Now with the PS3 being $299 it should be a no brainer to do it.

This may all mute if sales of the Blu-ray of GOW doesn't sell well. Even though the cost of making these titles
HD ready won't cost a whole lot to produce, it wont make much sense to produce them if they won't sell well or are priced to high for the consumers.

on topic my picks would be.
1. remakes of Final fantasy VII,X, and XII
2. Dragon quest VIII would really look awesome in hd,
3. One not mentioned at all would be resident Evil 4
4. DMC 1,2, and 3
5. GTA III,GTA liberty city, and GTA San Andreas would be my first choice for HD treatment along with updated soundtracks talk about a great HD funfest of titles. the above titles where all platform pushers not to mention mutimillion sellers. I also feel each of these titles would at least sell million or more each. with low overhead costs this would give Sony and developers more money to produce even better games and keep costs on us down.

If they make more of these upgrades, I want them to be games I haven't already bought (so pretty much none of those people have suggested). I own two copies of FFX; I'm not buying another. I don't care how good it looks.

Namco is working on Ace Combat for the PS3, they were hiring folks for such a game months back. no official confirmation of course, but I remember reading several different reports that strongly suggested a new Ace Combat for PS3.

If they want to give some PS2 games the HD treatment, let's make them games that are not on PS3.

I'd like to see Xenosaga Episodes 1, 2 and 3 given the HD remake treatment. All the other PS2 games I play have already got PS3 counter parts (or ones that are coming within the next 12 months). But Xenosaga is something that remains a PS2 exclusive. I'd love to see KOS-MOS or Shion in all their HD glory.

There are so many that could use it but I'll have to go with Shadow of the Colossus. It was an artistic masterpiece on it's own, but imagine how great it could look with a hi-def treatment. And while we're talking about it, how about some news on the movie adaptation that's being written right now supposedly.

1. ICO and SOTC with The last guardian (best pack)
2. FF10 and FF12
3. Mortal Combat Deception, Shao Lin monks and Amageddon.
4. DMC 1,2,3
5. GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas
6 .KH1,2 with KH3 pack

I'd strike off all the games with an existing sequel on (or coming to) PS3, which leaves;

Mortal Combat Deception, Shao Lin monks and Amageddon.
KH1,2 with KH3 pack
Suikoden 3,4,5

Not sure Mortal combat is needed when we already have half a dozen really good fight'em ups. I didn't play Fatal Frame, so I have no frame of reference on that one.

I bought a PS3 for PS3 games, not remade ps2 games, I really don't want companies getting Bulimic from regurgitating previous gen games with just better graphics and trophies, so lets not get carried away with all this remake stuff. Please? I mean ok this whole GOW thing is pretty cool, but lets keep redeauxs to a minimum here.

I agree half and half with you LowKey. I think that remaking some old classics will ruin the nostalgia feel of them..but then again, old Final Fantasies were remastered for the PS1, so why not? And with over 100 million ps2 units sold, there is a lot of people who owned them who will shell out money to see a remastered version of their favourite games. I can pretty much guarantee that if FFVII ever gets redone, the majority people buying it won't be first time players.

Myself, I've always held a little spot for the original Tenchu's, Seeing one of those stealth kills in HD would rock, and if they added online play to a remake with everyone running around as ninja's (Third person Socom style) using stealth kills and shuriken's? Sign me up!

Online sword fights? might be something to market with the wand..lol..

My response to those who diddn't own a ps2? too bad so sad isn't life a drag? If you want a PS2 game get yourself a PS2 or borrow one from a buddy and stock up on PS2 games. And Chinook, you my boy but I have to correct you there. Final fantasy 2,4,5,6 never released in NA 6 was released as 3 in NA on the SNES and was later released as 6 for the PS1. And I do kinda get what you guys are saying as per my previous sentance. But I just don't like it, because I feel it will make devs lazy and they'll just start crankin out remastered games, and not bring much in the way of new stuff.

I agree Limited. When there is no story or anything to draw the player into the game the repetitive gameplay gets kind of tedious after a bit.

Although if someone made an RPG with fighting dynamics of Soul Caliber or something like that, I would love to see that. A story line with a fighter would be cool to see.

I'd like Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, Kingdom Hearts, and maybe Resident Evil 1-4. I think the one I'd prefer the most of those is Shadow of the Colossus. Hmmm maybe also that game with the white dog that uses paint or something? xD Lame description, but I don't remember what the game is called, and I've never actually played it; I've only seen reviews of it on TV. Apparently, it's a very good game, and I'd like to try it out. :)

WOW no one said quite possibly the biggest opportunity for a graphics upgrade, though it may not be a classic, it was most definitely fun and had beautiful graphics (outstanding for its time). This game I speak of is none other than Ecco the Doplhin (if you never played it you should try if you can find a copy)

Ar tonelico series, Persona series, Tales of series(especially ones America never received like ahem Tales of Symphonia), Namco X Capcom, Phantom Brave, La Pucelle Tactics(though I guess I could go with the PSP version thats coming out if I can't have a PS2 copy), Arcana Hearts, Gungrave, Devil May Cry, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Growlanser, and ugh I don't even feel like typing in the hundreds of other PS2 games that Japan has that we don't have that I would import if it were on PS3.

Well I don't own a PS3 'cos when I went to buy one, the only games I had to choose out of were bloody shoot 'em up, kill 'em all type things, not really my cup of tea at all. Though I've heard rumours that they're bringing The Sims 3 on board so that would definately make me want to buy it! But with all my time spent searching I still can't confirm that rumour :( also the games my 7 year old son's into like the Jak and Daxter's, Ben 10's, Spongebobs and so on would sway my purse in the PS3's direction as well :)

For me there is 1 game i would like to play in HD the most of all other games and that's Soul reaver legacy of kain. Other games i'm interesting in seeing in HD are the best Re game ever RE 2, timesplitters and SSX.
