God Of War III Gets Worldwide Simultaneous Launch?
God of War IIIWe know God of War III will release in March 2010 in the US, but gamers in other parts of the world have been left in the dark.
While it's certainly true that a game like this won't appeal quite as much to the Japanese audience - although we still fail to understand why - SCEA wants to bring this impending masterpiece to as many gamers as possible on the first day. Therefore, according to PS3Center, it seems they wish to give GoWIII a worldwide simultaneous release. We're not sure about Europe, but the latest issue of Famitsu confirms that SCEA's hotly anticipated title will also launch in Japan this March. It's also interesting to note that Sony will be publishing the game in Japan for the very first time; Capcom handled the publication duties for the previous installments in the franchise. Now all we need is to hear from SCEE that GoWIII will hit European regions at the same time, and the vast majority of gamers around the world will be able to pick up this bad boy on the very same day (or at least, in the same week or something). As far as we're concerned, games like GoWIII absolutely need a worldwide simultaneous launch; it's just a law. Nobody gets deprived!
We'll let you know when an exact date gets nailed down for the US and when it does, let's hope that date is the same - or very similar - in both Japan and Europe.

Gran Turismo 5 is also having a simultaneous worldwide release am I right? 2009 BABY. God Sony really planned things out...they actually have great exclusive software coming in almost every quarter.

Exclusives are great and some are tremendous but I wouldn't ignore multiplats either. Batman is amazing.

but than what about games developed and released in the US like resistance 2.
thats a different story, why i had to wait 3 weeks after the US ill never understand.
and if insomniac do the same with R&C ACIT im going to be MIGHTY! pissed off.

I too will be trying to get the God Of War 1+2 pack off ebay.
Why is it Europe is always losing out on stuff ? Oh yeah we got something a few weeks back was it ? Oh yeah a game came out on the Friday and America got it the following week later woopee we got a game a week before they did lol. It makes you laugh at times. :)

no all games should have a worldwide release date.
i dont see the problem with shipping games from the UK to the US or whatever.
why is there such a separated release date?
i mean the european and US versions are exactly the same no?
besides the video coding one using NTSC and one using PAL but that would be sorted out early.
so why do games see a european release weeks if not months after the US release.
my father builds and ships chemical pumps ALL OVER THE WORLD! and they are there in days not weeks.
if he can ship tens of thousands of chemical pumps and these things are HUGE!! and bloody heavy, if my father a 1 man can do this why cant sony THE WORLDS LARGEST ELECTRONICS company do the same?
