Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Demo: Biggest In History?
Uncharted 2: Among ThievesYou know, we've played 10-minute demos in the past, and although the length of playable demos has begun to expand, perhaps nothing will be able to touch the depth of what's coming for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
As most of you know, a multiplayer demo will release this week - if you've pre-ordered the game from GameStop; otherwise, you'll have to wait until September 29 to try it - and most are very excited. But it'd be a mistake to assume that this is "just another demo." No, after reading the full details, this early multiplayer jaunt might be the single biggest demo in history. Naughty Dog says they want to jam as much of the finalized multiplayer experience into a "reasonably sized file," which by the way comes to 1.5GB. This 1.5GB gives you four maps, four competitive modes, two co-op modes, that awesome cinema mode, the chance to create custom games for you and others, access to new skins, and 80% of the booster skills that will be in the full version. ...uh, isn't that pretty much a whole game right there? As IGN said, it's a damn good thing this demo ends on launch day; otherwise, people just might play this for months on end. Heck, you can even take advantage of the money system that lets you use accumulated cash to purchase new skins, boosters, weapon upgrades and taunts! We didn't have half this stuff in the multiplayer beta earlier in the summer, for crying out loud.
But anyway, if this isn't enough incentive for you to pre-purchase Uncharted 2, you should have your "gamer" label revoked.

I played the heck out of DiRT 2 demo and I don't really feel like buying the full game anymore.
I dunno but after playing a demo you can admit it sometimes feels like you've seen the full game already.

I believe you are contradicting yourself here sir. Don't get me wrong, I will download and play this, but you went on this long rant before about being a gamer. Not everyone likes shooters. I do, but there are some out there that just don't.

my voucher says the code is only good from 8-19-09 which was last month til 9-19-09 which is just a few short days away...
Now granite the dates could have changed becus my voucher has never worked but myself or gamestop was not aware of the change, and im hoping the code on my voucher will work when the demo is available... Let me know if you guys know of anything about this thanx!

why is preordering at gamestop so bad lol? cus they re- sell used games for a high dollar?
i kind of see where your coming from, but if you can play a demo this big this far in advance its worth doing... I understand after the KZ2 demo why people can say o id rather wait but this is the MP demo and its apparently F*n huge so i dont get you ;)! i bet you give in and do it!

yea you shouldn't take that comment literally, and i have friends who hated the first one they actually sold it or traded it after buying the 160GB bundle, so your not the only one... only thing is my buddies (2 of them) that didnt like it only played about 20 min of the game and didnt reaLIZE IT TURNS INTO ONE HECK OF A SHOOTER, NOT TO MENTION AN ACTION PACKED THRILL RIDE! (o cool caps was on, nice!)
O well there loss. i almost guarantee they buy the 2nd just cus it has MP lol i dont understand the people who play vids just for the MP its like going to a movie for the popcorn! I love playing out single player stories in vids especially if they are EPIC like the uncharted story!

have you played the first through, because it sounds to me like the game is right up your alley, and if mgs is an exception uncharted being a 3rd person also should def. be an exception cus its sick, and the second will be great as well...

that was really dissapointing, im going to spend all that time ranking myself up than im going to have to do it again once the games out.
o well just another reason to spend more time with the SP, i hope they dont have a trophie for finishing the game on crushing.
otherwise im going to loose all my hair again, uncharted 1 almost put me in the loony bin.
