Uncharted 2 Attached To Twitter
Ah, Twitter. Who would've ever thought that a public IM with a character limit of 140 would ever be so popular? I guess people really are interested in the trivial and mundane aspects of strangers' lives.
But it can still be cool...if it's related to video games, of course. Those of you who pre-ordered Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at GameStop should be able to jump into the multiplayer demo that's going on right now, and there you will notice something interesting: the game can be attached to your Twitter account when online. The options page in the demo says the game will "Tweet your progresses as you play," which likely means your Twitter page will automatically post up a quick message concerning your Uncharted 2 achievements. So it might say, "Chapter 1 Complete" or "Level Milestone Achieved" or something like that, which is...well, both very cool and a touch creepy. We're wondering if the auto-Tweets are directly related to the Trophies you obtain; the descriptions seem like Trophy descriptions to us, and that might make sense. And this way, all your friends can get all jealous reading your Twitter page, 'cuz you have Uncharted 2 and they don't. At least, we assume that's the reason behind the technological phenomenon.
And speaking of Twitter, feel free to visit Naughty Dog's page. They just mentioned they're looking into producing a new dynamic PS3 theme based on Uncharted 2. These dynamic themes are one of several upgrades that came along with firmware update 3.00, so let's see what these guys can give us.

This is a cool feature, but not really that necessary in my eyes. Maybe if you only have videogame interested people following you on twitter, but most of the people following you won't give a damn about your progress in a videogame.

Indeed. Why the hell is anyone interested in the minutia of another person's life? Even my wife couldn't care less about whether I like my coffee at 11am, or if my ear itches as I'm working through my emails.
Micro blogging my arse. Twitter is little more than the stream of consciousness of the Eye of Moron. If you watched Battlestar Galactica (the new version) you'll remember the gibberish spouted by the hybrid Cylons that pilot the base ships. That is what twitter is, the random ramblings of a hive mind largely populated by morons.
Ah Twitter, how I hate thee.
