The Weapons Of Bayonetta Revealed
Although we won't get it until next year now, we remain very, very interested in Bayonetta. Who doesn't want a game that seems to mix elements of both Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden?
But if you're not yet convinced and you want to check out some behind-the-scenes info, keep checking the Platinum Games Blog. Today, you can learn all about the weapons of Bayonetta; weapon designer and CG modeler Muneyuki "Johnny" Kotegawa will happily walk you through each bad-ass firearm or blade available. This ranges from Bayonetta's dual guns to weapons her foes will use, and keep reading to study up on the Kulshedra, Shuraba, and the Lt. Col. Kilgore. The speed and diversity of this action extravaganza is what attracted us in the first place, and to find out there will be such a large multitude of very unique weapons is more frosting on an already-appealing cake. While Capcom hasn't announced Devil May Cry 5 yet and God of War III is a slightly different beast (within the action genre, anyway), you're going to want to keep Bayonetta on your radar. However, we get the feeling that it might take a good long time to master some of the weapons on display at the blog...
Oh, and if any of you still have reservations about playing a game that features a woman as the main character, we suggest getting over it. We promise you that it doesn't compromise your masculinity.

Even David Jaffe (awesome modest dude) admitted he thinks their combat system isn't as good as DMC. While I think he was being very modest, I think there's some truth to it too. Don't get me wrong through, I really think GOW deserves every last ounce of praise it gets. As far as DMC goes, I truly believe (even though DMC4 was mediocre by standards) it has the most polished combo system than any action game.
But I think you're mostly concerned with how this game will feel to you. Again, it's probably going to come down to preference and I think most people really love GOW for its pure badassedness that Kratos brings to the table. Me though, I think I'm going to enjoy Bayonetta because I have a strange taste for Vampire styled, anime-looking characters. Beyond that, I really trust Hideki Kamiya to deliver something good and original.

1: I haven't finished the games I've got and I don't know when I'll have time to play it. With all the great games that are coming, Bayonetta is going to be a game that I'll buy if I have nothing else to do.
2: After having played all the DMC's, I'm kind of tired of that style of gameplay now. Maybe when that game comes out I'll look in into it again, but right now..no thanks. But that's just me. I hope other people buy this game so that it's successful and they make more.

I'm not trying to brag (I hate bragging) but I seriously didn't find DMC3 hard.
But yeh I did die countless times before Cerberus but after that I understood the game.
And Dante Must Die wasn't as hard as it was time consuming, it started to become like an JRPG game lol. You gotta' wait for the other guys to attack or you'll just get pwned.
And take turns ^_^

I *had* a friend that refused to play GTA:SA because the protagonist was a black man. Needless to say I lost a LOT of respect for him and we're no longer friends after knowing each other 10+ years. That wasn't the only reason, but it sure didn't help. He did eventually play it, but the damage had been done.

I think gamers who can't play a character because of gender or race, aren't as mentally sound as people who don't take those things seriously. Apply the ancient proverb "It's just a game." here.
