People Can't Stop Talking About Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
And that's a good thing. The PlayStation Blog is already pointing everyone in the direction of early reviews for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and you can see why.
After wowing everyone at E3 and taking home 20 different awards - including 6 "Best in Show" honors - everyone has been waiting for October 13, the day when the next truly legitimate Game of the Year contender hits the market. And the critics are already responding: there was that leaked review from French publication PSM3 that had Naughty Dog's sequel busting through the ceiling; it scored an impossible 21/20. Then, the Official PlayStation Magazine scored it a perfect 5 out of 5, followed by another perfect score - 10 out of 10 - from UK publication GamesRadar. IGN just popped up a score of 9.5 and we're all willing to bet that you're anxiously awaiting our review. Well, we don't rush into the biggest titles of the year. We always want to give you the most in-depth and accurate analysis possible and besides, what difference does it make...? You can't buy the game for several more weeks anyway, so when it comes time to finally make a purchase decision (as if it's any decision at all, really), we'll be sure to tell you what we think. We have to go into every review with a blank slate brain...but damn, it's hard to do sometimes.
Perhaps it shouldn't surprise us that Uncharted 2 leads our weekly poll by a landslide. You guys saw this coming, didn't ya? Yeah, we got some smart readers out there. ;)

I think there's gotta be major love out there for the Naughty Dog crew for banging together a real next gen game, and for spoiling us gamers rotten with all the extra's and decent price for a really high end product. Lets just stop flapping our lips about it and get the game out there so we can all get dug in to kicking some next gen ass!!!

But this game is shaping out beautifully!
Even though i wasnt thrilled with the multiplayer experience during the beta a while back, its actually looking more appealing each time i see a new screen shot or video clip of a new level.

The traps at the end of Ch. 4 of Uncharted are one-hit kills and they don't even have giant blades.
I've only played TR: Legend and TR: Anniversary (i.e., not earlier ones), but I see a lot of similarities. I think Uncharted does many things better (and is significantly better overall), but the environmental puzzles are better in TR: Legend (and it is hardly "a big pile").

I guess we can all wait for Jak 4 for a little longer? lol
BTW I can't wait for September 29, for the MP public demo. Then very shortly after that.. Gran Turismo PSP!!! (the reviews don't affect me at all, I play to practice time trials)

As it stand i would rate the multiplayer and co-op plus cinema mode and twitter funtionality/sending videos to friends list easily gives it an 11 out of 10 and thats based on just half the game.

Nah I've been reading from IGN for a long time and their PlayStation team are nice people ^_^
One of the guys in there, Ryan, he is the RPG guy and supports all things PlayStation and Chris loves Gran Turismo. Both InFamous and Killzone 2 got over 9.0 scores from their US department.
They gave MGS a 10/10 (where some other big sites won't) and I think GT4.
It's just the Xbox team who gives the 360 games better than expected scores that make PS3 IGN look like Xbox fanboys. But they are not ;)

The PS team on IGN (including Haynes but maybe not Clements) all tend to grade lower than other teams, which makes PS3 exclusives look worse than 360 exclusives.
IMO, the UK team seem to have no clue.
IGN does reflect an industry-wide bias which stems from the fact that the editors all own 360s and use them as their primary systems (thanks, Achievements), but most still don't own PS3s (three years later!) and only play them occasionally at work. If you never buy PS3 games, it's easy to think there aren't any. I feel that way about the 360, though it's clearly not true. I'm not a professional game critic, though, so it's not my job to be fully informed and impartial.
Some of them don't even know the differences between the PS3 SKUs, FFS.
p.s. Three internet abbreviations may be a record for me.

how infamous got less than GTAIV i will never ever ever be able to understand.
how KZ2 got less than GTAIV i will never ever ever be able to understand.
how MGS4 got less than GTAIV from most sites i will never ever ever be able to understand.
thats why i dont bother reading reviews any more because 99.99% of the time there utter ....
either that or i believe the opposite.
like wet got a bad review but i love that game.
but than GTAIV got a fing 10 and i hate that game.
never ever in my life have i been dissapointed so much.
never.
reviews either should just have advantages and disadvantages, likes and dislikes.
or start scoring them properly.
if GTAIV is a better game than uncharted 2 or any previous listed games than im f***ing Mary Poppins.

I'm sure there's plenty of people who agree with the reviews but obviously not everyone so it's better to form your own opinions before purchasing something that a reviewer says you should have.
Can't imagine what reviewer is gonna give less then the 9.5 IGN gave, but then again, someone will...call it the law of averages!
