Naughty Dog May Consider A Jak And Daxter Reunion
There's little doubt that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be one of the best games of the generation. But despite all their accomplishments, some people are still saying, "hey Naughty Dog, where's my new Jak and Daxter?"
Well, we may have some good news for you. According to a recent EGTV interview with Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer, it seems that the developer may eventually bring back the awesome duo they have in their stable. Meyer was quick to point out how the developer has moved along with each new generation; they provided us with Crash Bandicoot on the PS1, Jak and Daxter on the PS2, and Uncharted on the PS3. And when asked if the team would ever revisit Jak and Daxter, Meyer said:
"We definitely hear a lot from our Jak and even Crash fans from a long time ago, um, and we really hear those things and you know we'd love to be able to be working on a new Jak for them at some point so, that might be in the cards but right now we're really sort of focused on working through this [Uncharted] franchise."
Evan Wells didn't really add much in the way of encouragement but still left us with a glimmer of possibility, when asked a similar question during a recent Examiner.com interview, where he replied:
"I think you know I can’t answer that question. But I will say that all of us here love the Jak and Daxter franchise and would love to play in the universe again. Right now most of the studio is on a much deserved vacation and with all of the hard work that went into finishing Uncharted 2, we haven’t even decided what we’ll be working on when they get back."
We get the feeling that a whole lot of you out there would like to see these two return in another game; Jak split off on his own last generation, and Daxter got his own adventure on the PSP. But they haven't been reunited since the original title first dropped nearly eight years ago, and this has been a sore spot for those who fell in love with that game. But hey, there's always hope!

Seeing as how ND is proving to be quite the perfectionists with this gen of games I'm sure they'd want to do the Jak series justice and not release any old thing with the Jak name on it.

than i hope they work on another crash bandicoot game.
i finally got 1,2,3,CTR and crash bash in the mail today and have spent the whole day remembering good ol childhood memories.
i would love to see a crash bandicoot warped 2,
same level structure and everything.
than a new CTR and im set.
CTR is probably the best in the series because of its replayability it never gets boring.
than add a sequel to pandemonium and oddworld and im in heaven.
O and insomniac need to go back to the spyro series.

If ND makes another one, I hope it's not another Jak Off effort.

I got Jak 2 and wasn't into the open towns at first.
But after a while you realize how genius that was. It really makes things really fun.
In fact it references back to J&D where environments were open like that too. The only difference is that they added more town places.
Anyway, you gotta play all the way through, to REALLY appreciate how good Jak2 and 3 are.

They have not disappointed me with every new IP they created and in fact they seem to get better and better. Who knows what they would do next? what ever it is, it most likely will be amazing!
Just keep innovating ND don't ever look back!

Personally since i havent experienced the last 2, i think I would rather them stay closer to the physical fighting action of the original. I always thought that adding guns and such made it more similar to Ratchet and Clank which isnt bad but creates the possibility of making it not as unique. Im sure however they did it though would be fun.
