New Action Title Revealed: Scivelation
Well, I know some of you out there aren't big fans of FPSs, but this here is a game that uses the Unreal Engine III and isn't played from the first-person view. Nope, Scivelation is a third-person shooter that kinda reminds us of Dead Space.
As revealed by BigDownload, Topware Interactive has revealed this new action title, which was developed by Black Wing Foundation and set for release on the PC "and other platforms" towards the middle of next year. Details are sparse for the time being but we do know the game will boast a futuristic sci-fi setting, where the oppressive "Regime" government is running amok. But, similar to the Red Faction franchise (see how I'm giving you familiar names to help out?), a rebellion has sprung up and the main character is in charge. The press release described Scivelation as providing gamers with an "unrelenting interactive experience;" the key word there is "unrelenting." See, while we've all heard of this storyline before, we could always use an adventure that grabs us from the outset and never lets go. And besides, who wouldn't want an awesome blend of Dead Space and Red Faction? Of course, I'm only guessing with these analogies, but I prefer to be optimistic when it comes to new titles.
We'll keep an eye out for more info concerning Scivelation, which we assume is pronounced exactly as it's written. Er...maybe.
