Charming RTS Mushroom Wars Available Tomorrow On PSN

We've already seen several quirky yet highly original and excellent titles on the PSN this year, and another one will be ready to go tomorrow.

It's the aptly titled Mushroom Wars, as officially revealed at the PlayStation Blog. This colorful RTS from Creat Studios will be available on Thursday for only $9.99 and has you battling for the classic strategy prize: land. It just so happens that mushrooms will be your base of operations, the armies involved are more cute than intimidating, and like Fat Princess, it'll be both accessible to all and quite fast-paced (confrontations will only last about five minutes). The game supports up to four players in local multiplayer, or you can just jump online and enter into some matches that way. There's a cool debut video over there and we just might have to put down our bevy of new games to give this one a try. It's a little unfortunate that Mushroom Wars drops on the same week as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Brutal Legend, but hey, Creat Studios should provide you with an entirely different, refreshing interactive production. You gotta mix things up, you know.

And besides, it's only ten bucks. If you like the sound - and look - of Mushroom Wars, we urge you to add one more title to your list for October.
