Killzone 3, Resistance 3, World At War 2 Set For 2010?
Due to many titles escaping out of this year to avoid butting heads with certain blockbusters, we already know that many great games are penciled in for Q1 2010. But what about the rest of the year?
Well, if the latest edition of PlayStation: The Official Magazine is to be believed, FPS fans everywhere should be excited. Although we haven't seen the magazine just yet, E4G tells us that on page 20, they talk about "The Secret Games of 2010." Among these three are top shooter projects, one of which may come as a surprise to those who easily recall the development time required for Killzone 2...that's right; supposedly, the third installment is "reportedly deep in development" and will actually launch next year. Another major FPS would be Resistance 3, which Insomniac hinted at in a recent Full Moon Show podcast, and lastly, a Treyarch employee hinted they'd be following in Modern Warfare 2's footsteps and are working on a sequel to 2008's World at War. We're most excited - and most skeptical - about Killzone 3 but if that drops for the holidays or something, there's little doubt it will spur Sony and the PS3 forward. As for R3, we continually insist that Resistance doesn't get anywhere near enough credit in the gaming world (R2 is the second-best FPS of the generation next to KZ2, in our opinion), so we can't wait for the third title.
And let's not forget that many critics said Call of Duty: World at War could very well be the best WWII shooter ever, and sales were impressive. So why not go for a sequel? Heck, the world is already crazy over MW2, so it seems like a fairly safe strategy. Anyway, we'll be on the lookout for more info concerning these three gigantic titles; for now, it's all just filed under "rumors."

Resistance 3 in 2010 seems more right, since they`ve shifted between Ratchat & Clank and Resitance 2 years between. Can`t wait for R3, loved R2 :)

As for GT5, I thought they said it's been ready to go? What's the hold up?

I have not played any of the resistance games. I play very select few FPS games but Killzone 2 is pretty good.
I am one of the few who will skip MW2 and go for Assassin's Creed 2 instead.

I just didn't like how the majority of games were 30 minute long body counts. Or when someone did know how to make a proper game, the only maps they would put on there would be Radec Academy and Tharsis Depot. There should have been a better matchmaking system.

But the game is still the Awesome.
BTW it's only 30 minutes with 200kills. So it's actually shorter than 30 mins, unless every single person sucks ^_^
I love matches like those, improves ya' skill in hectic fights.
There are heaps of normal and good Warzone matches though.

while GG did spend enough time making that game they could of made 2.
but i doubt it.
R3 i think is a given, but for the love of GOD! please dont use the red and brown filter for resistance 2.
it gave the ground, sky all your surroundings a bad look.
black and grey are ugly, but no where near as bad as desert 2.
world at war 2?
seriously why would you waste your time?
that was a complete crap!
treyarch.
go work on another popper james bond game.
QOS was okay but die another day was the best james bond game they made.
james bond games are suppose to be about 2 things.
1 stealth, you cant afford to be caught.
you run through corridors destroying lasers and security cameras and use cameras to scope out your enemy.
2 use 101 gadgets to help acquire your goal.
another goldeneye would be really cool!
but all the good james bond games were back on the PS1, they need to go back to the old style.
QOS was too much of a ordinary 3rd person cover shooter, and not enough of a spy game.

And I agree that Resistance doesn't get as much credit as it's supposed to. I played through Resistance 1 and 2 again recently and I must say I actually enjoyed them both more this time round. They are truly amazing games.
Killzone just stole all of Resistance's thunder so to speak. Killzone 3 will be a whole different kind of monster that's for sure...

Please no more World war 2 games. The only reason i bought World at war on steam. Was that cool nazi zombie mode and a sale.
Resistance 3 can't wait. Don't rush development time. Take as much time as you need.
