Band Hero Full Track List, Importable Songs Revealed
There's another "Hero" on the way, and it's not Guitar Hero or DJ Hero, but the more generic Band Hero.
Activision has been letting a few of the scheduled songs slip through the cracks for the past few months, but they've finally released the entire track list, along with a list of the 69 tracks that can be imported from Guitar Hero 5. You should also know that all GH5 downloadable content (with the exception of Jimi Hendrix tracks) is also playable in Band Hero. You can view the entire lists if you so desire; there's even a breakout of the new songs you can expect and the track list for the Nintendo DS version. The console versions of the game will feature the likes of 3 Doors Down, "When I'm Gone," Aly and AJ, "Like Whoa," Carl Douglas, "Kung Fu Fighting," Culture Club, "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me," Devo, "Whip It," Duran Duran, "Rio," The Go-Go's, "Our Lips Are Sealed," Jackson 5, "ABC," Joan Jett, "Bad Reputation," and much more. The importable songs include "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" by the Beastie Boys, "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, "Spiderwebs" by No Doubt, "Santeria" by Sublime, "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent, "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters, and "Today" by The Smashing Pumpkins. All told, this game will feature a staggering library of over 300 total tracks, so it's unlikely you'll get bored any time soon.
Band Hero is set to release on November 3 and if you're one of those music fans who absolutely require the latest "Hero" installment out there, you need to mark that day on your calendar.

Nothing has captured my excitement more than the announcmement of the very first Guitar Hero game on PS2. It was revolutionary for its time, it saved the music game genre.
Now, the GH franchise is slowly strangling itself and only the fans who have been there from the start can see this crime against the video gaming universe.
RIP (original) Guitar Hero. Your awesomeness and unique structure will be sorely missed.

DLC is the way to go, and Harmonix know it. Harmonix is comprised of musicians and game developers, so they know their stuff, unlike Activision who are a buncha suits out to make money by adding bells and whistles to a game franchise creating an oversaturated market!!!!
Long live Rock Band!!!! The greatest yet least known (at least here in Australia) video game music title!!!! (Rock Band 2 wasn't popular enough to release here in Australia, so I had to import it from UK, such a pity that Guitar Hero continues to rule here, why didn't they just leave it at World Tour and Metallica? Concentrate on better DLC like Rock Band? Wait a year before announcing more Hero games, so to give people a break?!?!?)

Whatever happened to that? Why is it about catering to audiences who only play games once a week? Who might think of spending money on that?
The Wii is the biggest to blame here. Nintendo showed how gaming can be a big money maker without putting in the effort to create unbelievable stuff that hardcore gamers lap up.
Wii Play being the biggest selling game this generation?!?!? Please..... it was a cheap software package with an extra remote. If it was sold separately, no one would touch it.
